full title...........BREAKING NEWS: Trump names Neil Gorsuch as his Supreme Court nominee - firing starting gun on bitter battle with Democrats.........................President Donald Trump announced his appointment tonight of Neil Gorsuch, a U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit judge, to the Supreme Court.

If confirmed by the Senate, Gorsuch will fill the vacancy created by the February 2015 death of Antonin Scalia.

Republicans must rally eight Democrats to cross party lines in order for the appointment to clear a legislative hurdle known as cloture that takes 60 votes.

I don’t know much about him and he doesn’t seem to have much of a record on the 2nd Amendment. The NRA likes him, but even the quote from one of his opinions that the NRA included in their article bothers me a bit.

This man is into detail. The only decision, the only one, that I could not see to eye to eye on was his support of ethanol. I figure maybe I don’t know the whole story.

If they’re taking food, and converting it to fuel to run our cars, then that’s plain wrong, esp if the taxpayer is subsidizing that.

On the other hand, if it’s food waste product, like corn cobs, then I’m all for it.
