President Donald Trump's order to restrict people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States sparked outrage but hit a roadblock late on Saturday when a federal judge said stranded travelers could stay in the country.
The emergency court ruling was cheered at Boston's Logan International Airport, one of several major U.S. airports where protesters angry with Trump's order gathered.
The American Civil Liberties Union, which sought the temporary stay, said it would help 100 to 200 people with valid visas or refugee status who found themselves detained in transit or at U.S. airports after Trump signed the order late on Friday.

“2. There is imminent danger that, absent the stay of removal, there will be substantial and irreparable injury to refugees, visa-holders, and other individuals from nations subject to the January 27, 2017 Executive Order;”
Congress - The House of Representatives and the Senate passed a bill which was signed into law by the President stating the President may suspend entry or impose restrictions upon entry by any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States. Congress has EXCLUSIVE plenary power over immigration matters, the Judiciary has no such power. Is the judge claiming that Congress has acted beyond their Authority?
Theyre stranded and need help getting home?
Ill start a GoFundMe to buy them swim trunks.

I decided to visit France one year, not having money to fly or go by ship, I decided to swim.
I got to within 100 yards of Brittany and realized I didn’t have the strength to make it all the way, so I turned around and swam back to New York.
Invoke the Patriot act.
Send them to Ellis Island, till they want to go home
Hark, hark!
Outrage has been sparked!
Meh.
The ACLU is simply showboating. Indications are that these people in limbo in the airport would have been cleared for entry anyway. They’re just being temporarily inconvenienced by goofy airport personnel.
That’s why the ACLU is has chosen to represent these particular migrants, as opposed to those in the future who will indeed be turned away under the new EO.
They’re just trying to make it look like a “defeat” for Trump, while deflecting attention away from Trump’s wins. The media will, as usual, cover for the ACLU.
Trump’s first win in the Supreme Court coming up.....Bring it on ACLU (Anti-American Commie Lawyers United)
It would be interesting to know when these people exited the US. Did they leave just to stage a re-entry drama?
Some may think that overly cynical, I’d say they’re naive.
US judge bars deportations under Trump travel ban
The law states that the judge has no standing in this matter.
That is the absolute truth
Pretty much just said we can’t deport the handful that already landed - doesn’t demand they be allowed in to roam free.....
The ‘Judges’ in question are Clintoon and Obammy appointees.. how convenient to judge shop to get in the way..
Nah. mexican. 16 years they were in the same unit and didnt bother to pick up the English language.
