A poll released Tuesday found Canadians disenchanted with liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose approval ratings have fallen to their lowest since he assumed the nation’s highest office. The Forum Poll™, a public opinion firm, released their numbers while Trudeau was visiting western Calgary. Having called for “phasing out” oil sands from the nation’s economy, Calgarians greeted Trudeau with loud boos and, in some instances, barely managed to let Trudeau answer their barbed questions. Forum found that 48 percent of Canadians approve of the job Trudeau is doing as Prime Minister, the first time his approval has crossed the 50 percent mark. “Those are the worst numbers Forum — or any other pollster — has registered for Trudeau since he became prime minister,” the firm notes.

I’ve always wanted to visit Quebec - particularly Quebec City.
But I’ve heard stories (anecdotal, that’s true) that the locals are borderline rude to anyone who can’t speak French on their level.
As much as I’d like to see the old city of Quebec, the Citadelle, etc., I can easily take a pass on the rudeness aspect.
What is a BOL. I’ve heard about that more than once recently, thinking it was a typo.
Support for Quebec separatism right now is at a 50-year low though. If a referendum was held today, they’d be lucky to get 1/3 of the vote.
From my personal experience, Montreal has a lot more rudeness compared to Quebec City or its region.

I’ve often attributed the rudeness as overcompensation for insecurity, as far as the tourists. I’ve been to France, the people out in the country are great. Maybe the country Quebecois are too, they just don’t travel.
