GOP Congressman: Donald Trump's Voter Fraud Investigation 'Undermines the Constitution'

Republican Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger charged on CNN's New Day Friday that President Donald Trump was undermining America’s electoral system and Constitution by calling for a review of voter rolls in search of evidence for massive voter fraud.

"This basically undermines the idea of an election, this undermines the Constitution," said Kinzinger, a frequent critic of Trump’s policy who refused to endorse him during the election.

Kinzinger is an Air Force pilot and is not a lawyer, nor has he had the sense to ask an election lawyer about the issue. As it happens, the courts have determined that when someone votes illegally when there is an election for a federal office, they can be prosecuted because a federal constitutional interest is implicated.

Along with Chaffetz’s comments earlier it appears that Trump’s voter fraud allegations are starting to draw out the cock roaches. I wonder what they’re afraid of?

WHere do these scumbags come from? Does he get illegal votes????

Trump won, not him. Democrats stay in power by registering illegals and never taking dead people off the polls but re-cycling them forever as Democrat voters.

Well if the American Citizen finds out that there ‘really is voter fraud’ which 99.9% of the American Citizen knows exists and has for a long time, there won't be any more Clintons, Obamas, Schummers, Reids, and that goes for the Republican party also...McCain, Ryan, McConnel, Graham...

So how are these ‘elite neo-cons’ suppose to get rich???

This is why these objecting to ‘lets look at voter fraud’ are having a melt down, this is why they tried so hard to knock President Trump out of becoming President, this is why they are ‘cooking up the spirits of impeachment’ to regain their precious wealth and power...they don't care about Joe Citizen, they would spit on Joe Citizen for less...

“Illinois: proud participant in voter fraud since the presidential election of 1960.”

Well you got the 60 right, but it has been going on since the 1860s or so.

Studying the facts are not an attack on the constitution. I can think of nothing more unconstitutional than deliberate ignorance of factors that threaten the constitution itself. The only way to undermine the constitution is for a major to influence it’s modification or repeal. A Terracotta majority (voter fraud) could deliver a constitutional demise with substantially less public support.

A fraudulent vote is an attack on the constitution and to ignore it is to accommodate internal and external enemies of The United States (aka an accomplice)

Not only should it be investigated, it should also be addressed with the enforcement of current laws and mandate to ensure all voters that, those who do vote are in fact eligible to vote under the law.

I would go as far to impose a censor of a state/counties votes if they can not demonstrate the ability to prevent voter fraud locally.

I would also agree with a standardized registration system and voting process designed to ensure that both registration and voting is denied when they fail to prove ID and Registration.

I have no problem with a national voter ID. It’s about time for social security cards to be printed on plastic just like a debit card. And since every American should have a SSN, it wouldn’t hurt to use it as a voter ID.(I can imagine the collective cringe of my fellow Christians as they read that last one)...

The Contitution’s plenary grant to states over Presidential elections is a problem, so is the 10th Amendment a barrier to federal oversight.
They’re not likely to be a problem, but they could be.

Anyway the same voter rolls are used for Congressional elections, over which the feds have great Constitutional authority.
So this claim is in effect without merit.

My first thought is Fake News. Anyone saying that auditing the vote, making sure it is real is somehow undermining the Constitution is actually doing just that. Guess they are serious about undermining the Constitution. What’s to fear from an honest, thorough investigation and audit?

Never ceases to amaze me that the poorest countries in the world have relatively fail-safe methods to insure there’s no voter-fraud in their elections......but not the U.S.

Did anyone else see Gregg Phillips on CNN this morning? He and a group he's been working with investigating voter fraud claim that three million illegals voted in the last election, and he states he can prove it. The liberal coverage of that interview of course tears him apart, but if you listen to the interview, he claims that this is information that is verifiable and will be brought forward in detail after a little more polishing. He further stated that the Dept of Homeland Security could verify this fact almost immediately. Cuomo of course tried to discredit him, but failed.

Vote fraud involving federal elections is a federal felony. Why shouldn’t the DOJ investigate suspected law violations?

Trump's DOJ needs to investigate this as possible voter fraud:

ITEM---Journalists Dined at Top Clinton Staffers Homes
Days Before Hillary's announcement of her candidacy

Wikileaks via Breitbart ^ | October 17 2016 | Ezra Dulis / FR Posted by grey_whiskers

ITEM..... Several top journalists and TV news anchors RSVPed “yes” to attend a private, off-the-record gathering at the New York home of Joel Benenson, the chief campaign strategist for Hillary Clinton, two days before she announced her candidacy in 2015, according to emails Wikileaks published from John Podesta’s accounts.

ITEM---The guest list for an earlier event at the home of John Podesta was limited to reporters who were expected to cover Clinton on the campaign trail. --snip--

==============================================

ITEM---Wikileaks revealed earlier that late night talk host Stephen Colbert, and his team at Comedy Central, were making TV episodes at the request or order of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) back in April of 2013.

So, viewers thought they were vote-smart because they’re informed by a comedian, yet same said comedian was doing Hillary’s bidding the whole time.

ITEM----I hope talk hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Maher, Seth Myers, Trevor Noah and Conan O’Brien have their lawyers on retainer and speed dial.

ITEM....because if the Trump Administration uncovers that the DNC and the Clintons were directly working with any member of media and their writing staff during the 2016 Presidential election, they could be charged with violating Federal election laws.

This from a Illinois elected official kind of makes me wonder just how valid our voting is. A review/audit of our procedures to ensure accuracy is somehow undermining our constitution? Kind of like a physical exam undermines your health; a certified financial audit undermines your companies financial health

With this kind of idiocy, his district would be the first one that I would audit.
