An immigration rights activist whose own undocumented status was exposed by a drunken-driving arrest has lost her six-month legal battle to remain in the country.

Wendy Uruchi Contreras, a Virginia organizer for the immigrant rights group CASA, is scheduled to be deported to Spain this week after last-ditch appeals were denied by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, according to her husband, Giovani Jimenez.

“We are devastated,” said Jimenez, who lives in Fredericksburg, Va., with their American-born children, Alex, 13, and Lucia, 7. “My children are crying, but we know there’s nothing more we can do.”

So both parents are here illegally, and both children have citizenship. One would think this loophole will soon be examined.

It’s sad that her children are crying. Mine aren’t because I’m not a criminal. A good parent would have made better choices.

As for taking six months to deport someone with no legal right to be here, that is absurd. I hope they charged her for both court costs and the cost of deportation.

How sad for the kids, who are American citizens, that their parents were so unbelievably selfish as to create this situation. To set the example of complete disrespect for the law. To force the choice of removing them from their country or missing their mother.

Driving drunk is a civil right for illegal aliens, who have killed thousands of Americans that way.

The father is an illegal alien from Bolivia. Says he will stay in the USA until the kids finish school in June and then move to Madrid Spain.

Why is this invader even allowed to stay till June? What makes him think that Spain will want an invader from Bolivia?

What trucking firm hired this guy knowing he was an illegal? Who hired the mother? Everyone involved with these parasites should be in jail.

Immigrants don’t have rights. They have obligations and responsibilities. One of those is keeping one’s head down and avoiding breaking the law.

That's karma. She pulled the tail of the tiger thinking it was asleep. They though they were immune and protected and would be for at least 8 more years.

We better get used to "the kids are crying" angle of the story. The LSM loves a good teary eyed specimen to put on camera.

One would think this loophole will soon be examined.

Mark Levin covered this in depth and read the statement from the author of this amendment. It is not meant to create "anchor babies".

Levin states it would only take a bill in Congress to slam it shut. It'd be nice if they could make it retroactive.

Problem is, the Kids shouldn’t be American Citizens.

We are the only Country that I know of that gives Citizenship to Anchor Babies. Not even Mexico allows it.

The rats have created a socialist entitlement system within our capitalist system, they feed off the host. They have created the propagandist narrative that America has no borders and everyone no matter who they are have a right to be here. For many decades they have systematically destroyed this country

As for taking six months to deport someone with no legal right to be here, that is absurd.

Just read and photocopy their paperwork, and put em on the bus for Mexico or Canada. If we're in the wrong...they can come back.

One down, 10,999,999 to go ...

It's probably a hell of a lot more than 11 million. I hope the brakes were removed on the Trump Train, because it cannot be allowed to stop rolling full steam ahead.
