I'm a former CNN correspondent, and I could answer this question in much greater detail than you'd ever want to read, but I'll give you the short answer. CNN under Ted Turner (no journalist he, but he understood what he wanted CNN to be and what it needed to be) was a place where, when you first walked in the door, you were told "there are no stars here, only news." And the staff believed that. For me, after wandering in the wilderness of local TV news for years, it was a great feeling to join a group of folks who (by and large) only really wanted to do the f**ing news.

Two different words: “At times”. Their election night coverage was less biased than Fox News was. John King is a master of the data and I have not seen him deviate from the facts or add spin or opinion. Some of their panelists are great, some suck. At times CNN is a credible news source.
All it would take is management with the Roger Ailes “fair and balanced” mindset to take CNN to #1 ratings.

CNN was a credible news source until Ronnie’s second term. Since then, not so much.
A Complex Question and logical fallacy since it presupposes that CNN was ever a credible news source.

John King is a master of data no doubt and I’ll give you that. Bret Baier (sp) and Megyn crapped their pants when they declared a Trump win but CNN is still an extension of the Demonrat party. I watch FoxBidness now. I see more fair and balanced at FBN......but I still watch Tucker.:)

I remember that guy - haven’t seen him on TV in some time. They did go on and on with that story, didn’t they, but they do on most any disaster. I watch CNN then as I think Anderson Cooper is one who does a better job covering disasters..and he appears to be always first on the scene!!
Maybe that’s what we should do in this household. Give up all the news coverage for game shows. Haven’t watched one in years!
I agree about the “fashion icon” thing. Far from it - so far from it, they can’t even be seeing what we’re seeing. She was really in fashion when she wore the short shorts at the Grand Canyon, wasn’t she?
I want to know what she did in Palm Springs while her husband and his “”buddies”” conversed - I’m sure they didn’t have HUSBANDS/WIVES there to visit with her so what did she do?
I also want to know why the California High Patrol provided security for their 8 car motorcade to the Palm Springs airport for them to board Branson’s jet. We PAY for their security with Secret Service and I sure hope it doesn’t take more than a couple SS to provide that - how many cars do they need?

A normal person would be embarrassed to utter such a ludicrous thing as “Michelle Obama a fashion icon” or “The press held Obama’s feet to the fire”.
I submit many of them have reprobate minds. They are completely unable to discern right from wrong; truth from lies. That’s my own personal $.02, anyways.

I include people who see absolutely no problem comparing Obama to ....... Jesus Christ. A near-deification of a “politician”. This is a recipe for the appearance of the Antichrist. Hirohito was deified, and pretty much Hitler, too. I’m sure there were many others.
I’m pretty-solidly pre-trib, but the world edges closer and closer to accepting a man such as this. I’m just wondering when all payment and income systems will be electronic.
But then, NBC and Brian Williams wanted everyone micro-chipped by 2017. The video is still on YT (at least it was a few months ago).
