Probably because it's not out of the ordinary. I used to sit in on daily kinetic strike updates and while this number is a little higher than normal, it's not especially remarkable. We've been bombing steadily over there for quite a while. I imagine it's had some effect, but ISIS still seems to be going strong.

I thought it was mostly oil...from 11/2015, but expect their funding to slow to a steady drip. One thing that gets me is why the Taliban are permitted to grow poppies in Afghanistan. The Taliban told the President to get out of Afghanistan. (Haven’t been able to type President for 8 loooooong years.)
