We are down to a mere 38 hours as I write this, so if the surprises have not yet been sprung, getting a little late in the game to pull something now.

Not that there aren’t already plenty of land mines in place.

How come i never hear of Obama’s speech writer? It’s just another smear when they mention that for people like Palin and Trump

Your post is the winner of 2017, so far. You have predicted well. Their articles/reviews have already been written.

So instead of governing, you prefer Trump to spend his time writing speeches?

This will be one for the history books! Must record this—I would tell everyone that they should keep a journal now—we are entering a new historic age—we are now in the pages of history. We are the foot soldiers of a new American Revolution that will sweep the land—and send out the glowing beacon of the torch of freedom—all around the world! What starts Friday may well change the whole planet! People arise! Do not let the nabobs of the Mainstream news tarnish your victory! We are the news!

Governing, especially at that level, is mostly verbal anyway.

Reagan had speechwriters, but he would always edit and rework what they handed him; the result was his own product. Of course, the reason he could do that was, before he was POTUS, he had done a radio show ("Viewpoint with Ronald Reagan") which he wrote entirely on his own for years.

“What other president wrote his own speeches?”

Theodore Roosevelt. George Washington. Abraham Lincoln.

written for a 6th grade education level.

If it's written for a 6th grade reading level, Big Media won't understand it.

Yes, I am aware of what you wrote, and yes, he did edit his speeches, but only the major ones. You are aware, Reagan had over 20 speech writers on staff. All presidents do because there are, as you know, tons of speeches, many of which are mundane.

Yes, there is power of the bully pulpit, which a good president takes advantage of, but there is much importance in actual governing. In reality, Trump will never write any of his speeches and at best, edit a few of the major ones.

There are too many other things to do and to reduce the presidency to speech writing is laughable.
