I remember kissing Carla Colburn on the cheek during “rest time” - must have been Kindergarten I guess. We all had little mats to lay down on. Glad I did that 50+ years ago - I’d probably be looking at 10 to 20 for sexual assault of a minor today! (Um - meaning if I was in Kindergarten today at the age of 5 or whatever, not .... oh - nevermind).

OMG. He was taking a NEUTRAL event and painting it with a trowel that somehow it represented potential harm to minority students. I hope that the parents of these kids stormed angrily into the principal’s office waving this letter and demanding this guy be fired. And this libtard figured he’d be “cool” and quote the BLACK Bob Marley to “comfort” any minority students he had. What a complete fool. What a classic libtard.
So dumb. We NEVER watched any news on TV in my Catholic School. They can see the clips on TV or Youtube if they desire. The ONLY time my school let us watch something on TV was in 1986 when the Challenger blew up and I was going to Chemistry class so perhaps that was why. These kids don’t need to watch this. They need to be reading, writing and arithmetic.

Of course I can. I remember things from every grade. However, my only memory from 3rd grade was those long long legs of Miss McFarland.

Again I disagree. When I was a kid we learned civics, I.e. we learned how the government works. I am not talking about political views. I am talking about the houses of government, electoral college, separate but equal,....
Kids today do not understand the history of this nation, the constitution,...........
And if you are counting on parents to teach all of that to their kids, 90% will never get the memo.
Schools don't teach it anymore because the leftist that took over the school want to dumb down the steeple.
My kids would have when they were 4th graders. That is why they are conservatives now. You have to get their attention early with the truth or the lies will embed.
I agree. Kids need to see first hand how government is meant to work. It is like pledging allegiance to the flag. Kids are never too young to learn the solemnity of the occasion and the magnitude of a peaceful transfer of power in a powerful nation. Patriotism matters and kids learn stuff like that “at their daddy’s knee”, so to speak, or at least they used to.
