George H.W. Bush was just admitted to intensive care unit with pneumonia and his wife, Barbara, was also admitted. H.W.'s office says he's in stable condition, but as a precaution doctors performed some sort of procedure to clear his airway. He received anesthesia and was moved into the intensive care unit. H.W.'s resting comfortably where he will remain, at least for the short term. Meanwhile, Barbara Bush was also admitted to the Houston hospital Wednesday morning after experiencing what H.W.'s office says is fatigue and coughing. Story developing ...
respect for a WWII vet who served his country with distinction while in his prime
Awful....;)
Trump effect.
Lyndon b Johnson died during nixons second inaugural period. Funeral was two days after obviously taking away from Nixon. I feel about bush senior they say I did about Carrie fisher....goners. This is not good at all for George senior. Barbara will probably make it through. George probably gone by tomorrow. So much sunshine I am bringing, but trying to be realistic.
Only deranged leftards stomp on the heads of the sick and dying because of politics. We’re better than that.
I went to work with walking pneumonia for a week when I was 22.
At 92, it’s REALLY bad to have.
MAybe stress set off what Barbara has? Whatever it is.
“Hope it doesnt overshadow Trumps inauguration. Trumps inauguration is a pivotal moment in American history.”
Yes, I don’t wish ill health on the Bushes, but at the same time, they were not good for this country. HW did all he could as president to try and undo everything that RR had accomplished, and W got us in to a needless conflict in the ME and started the ball rolling on running up our debt. For those reasons, the Bushes should not be remembered as good for America.
Thank goodness they have ObamaCare...
Man, they meant it when they vowed they would never see Trump sworn in as prsident.
Old folks get pneumonia and die. Frankly it’s a waste of ICU space
Watch this thread and others. Not sure we are anymore.
I’m trying to imagine a state funeral for one POTUS on the same day as the inauguration of another POTUS.
Well, I’m trying to imagine it for a Bush rather than a Clinton, which is quite imaginable and potentially far more exciting.
If you break a hip you have to work very hard to get mobile again. If you don’t the odds aren’t good. Mobility is the key those who get moving survive
Just wait until Mccain kicks the bucket. I have to stay off FR that day to censure myself.
Some old folks get pneumonia and recover. I think who ends up where is a decision best left to patients, family, doctors, and God. Don’t you? :-)
He wasn’t much of a president either
I hope they both live long enough to see Trump sworn in.
My prayers for both.
That’s what happened to my Mom at 84 years old. Broke her hip, developed pneumonia and died three days later.
Those who get better are more mobile
No where did I advocate killing anyone. It still is a waste of ICU space
You want it left to God? Then don’t go to the ICU
