A woman who previously accused Donald Trump of unwanted sexual advances has filed a defamation lawsuit against the president elect — just three days before Trump's presidential inauguration.
Summer Zervos, a former contestant on the "The Apprentice," said in a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred in Los Angeles on Tuesday that she filed the lawsuit over allegedly false statements Trump made in response to her accusation.
The suit, filed Tuesday morning, claims Trump knew his statements about Zervos and his other accusers would subject them to "threats of violence, economic harm and reputational damage."
Allred said Zervos would be willing to dismiss the lawsuit without any monetary damages if Trump agreed to retract his comments about her and admit that the accusations against him were in fact true.
"Ms. Zervos is willing to dismiss her lawsuit if he will retract his false statements about her and acknowledge that what Summer said about Mr. Trump and his alleged conduct is and was the truth," she said.
Zervos claimed in an October press conference that Trump sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions during a 2007 business meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
She said Trump made unwanted sexual advances toward her on multiple occasions during the meeting, kissing her on the lips, pressing himself against her and groping her breast and body without her consent.
Trump has vehemently denied the claims. In response to Tuesday's press conference, Trump's spokeswoman Hope Hicks provided the following statement to NBC News: "More of the same from Gloria Allred. There is no truth to this absurd story."
On the campaign trail, Trump said Zervos and his other accusers were liars, according to the lawsuit, and that she and the other women were motivated to come forward by the promise of "ten minutes of fame."

There is no case. The burden of proof is on the plaintiff. Plaintiff will need to produce evidence for every statement of “fact” she makes, or every incident she claims against Trump. That’s how it works, and Allred knows it.
Trump is NOT required to prove his innocence.
This weird defamation strategy means plaintiff will need to prove BOTH claims: that Trump assaulted her, AND that he defamed her by denying it !!
The very fact that Allred is going along with plaintiff’s defamation
/ sex assault 2-prong strategy — which amounts to a weak extortion attempt-—proves Allred is a sleaze.
The real goal here is to smear Trump for political reasons. Allred is actually handing over evidence he can use to sue HER and her client-—for defamation !!
I don’t know if they can use this against him or not in court, but according to Gloria Allred, she asked to take a lie detector test, it was administered by someone she claims is an “experienced” and “recognized” polygrapher, and she passed.

It’s a defamation suit, not a rape suit.
So IMHO (IANAL) the issue is whether Trump said anything untrue which results in damage to Zervos’ name.
Honestly, I have never heard of Zervos until her lawsuit.
If Trump never said anything in public about private meetings with Zervos, then it would seem to me that there is no merit to the suit. All the damage is self inflicted. Perhaps I am not understanding something...
First:polygraphs are unscientific.
Second:the woman just might be mentally ill and,as a result,truly believes that something that didn't happen did happen.(It can happen)
Third:it's my understanding that polygraphs can easily be "fooled" if the person being tested knows that they're in no danger.If this woman's lying she doesn't get money.End of story.

Yes, but the defamation claim is based on the fact that she accused him last Fall, he denied it and called her a liar, and might have said a few other things.
The entire back and forth is based upon her accusation of sexual assault that he denied. He had a right to deny it, and she's claiming defamation in his denial. No idea if the law has ruled on such a situation.'
Still inadmissable in a court, I believe. No one has perfected the lie detector test to want to really hang any outcome on.

This woman was literally the least credible of all the women making sketchy accusations against Trump for the first time right before the election. Her story and playacting were jokes. If Trump didn’t have far more important things to attend to, he should be suing her for defamation. She obviously has no case, so she must be an attention whore or someone’s paying her in an attempt to hurt Trump.
