A growing group of Democratic lawmakers will boycott President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday as a protest of Trump’s worldview and his criticism of civil rights icon John Lewis, congressman of Georgia
There are now more than 40 House Democrats — 42, at last count — who have declared that they will not attend the inauguration on Capitol Hill this week. The number rose sharply after Trump tweeted Saturday that Lewis is “all talk, talk, talk” and should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities.”
Lewis, who sees Trump’s Nov. 8 win as illegitimate because of Russia’s alleged interference in the election, is best known for leading civil rights protests in the 1960s, including the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., in which state troopers brutally attacked the crowd. Lewis will not attend the inauguration, he told NBC News in an interview for Sunday’s “Meet the Press.”
Here’s a list of other lawmakers who will not attend, starting alphabetically with Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), whose spokesman confirmed her decision in an email.

I know some here will cheer this kind of insurrection and sedition, but their behavior sends a very dangerous message to the country. This is not some sort of civil rights issue/moment. It is a clear message that they are going to refuse to offer any kind of conciliation, cooperation, or reaching out to get the business of the country done. This kind of behavior creates a huge National Security risk and it is best we all wake up and be aware of those concerns.
The world is watching America being torn apart by these progressives and their actions. The country is watching and has been on the verge of civil war for at least 6 years under Obama.
This is an act of sedition to the legitimate authority and transition of power.
Enemies of the nation outing themselves.

Regardless of their pleading and complaining and posturing, this country is going to go about setting right the last 8 years of tyranny and refocusing our efforts on what is best for Americans. They can get on the bus or choose to wait for the next one.
My fear is did these sour-pusses give their tickets to the Soros-SWJ types that spin in within their orbs. That would not be good...
Give their reserved seats to:
Wounded Warriors (Vets) - or -
Sick children from St. Jude - or -
Handicapped children from Shriner's hospitals - or -
Special needs kids from local institutions.
Who needs Democraps at this patriotic event?
Why would anyone invite skunks to a garden party to begin with?
Not much of an “icon” if he can’t stand up to any scrutiny.
These 40 whackos are from districts that are leftsists. They can do this because they suffer no electoral consequences.
But they will suffer consequyences in Congress. No Committee seats, relegated t the back benches where they barely belog. And soon each of them will be primaried out of existance.
What will Maxine Waters do when every inner city community is being lifted but not her own? She is now a short timer. And so are the other 39.

I hope and pray these dirtbags don’t already have tickets, because they will definitely give them to troublemakers. Shame on them, but better to prevent it if possible.
It isn’t the party afterwards, it is the actual Inauguration. It is their duty to our Nation to attend and witness the PEACEFUL transition of power. This ‘stunt’ is the incredible height of treason and sedition. As my first post states, it is incredibly dangerous posturing with regard to our National Security.
They won’t be missed.

These people would offer no conciliation or cooperation regardless if they attend or not. A quick glance shows me they’re all from safe Leftist districts. I say, let them be up front and honest, for once, about who they are and what they’re doing.
I’m not sure why I should care who doesn’t attend an event. It really doesn’t matter to me even a little. I’d worry if Melania said she wasn’t attending. She’s about the only one I truly expect to be there.
I honestly wouldn’t mind if the oath of office took place in the oval office or the scotus chambers or some high school classroom. It simply doesn’t matter.
Or worse -
They give the tickets to an outfit like CAIR (unindicted coconspirators) who in turn down the line give the ticket to a jihadi bomber.
