Was Hillary Clinton’s Nomination Legitimate? Six Reasons to Say No
Breitbart ^ | January 15, 2017 | John Hayward

Posted on 01/16/2017 5:01:04 AM PST by NYer

Democrats are consoling themselves by claiming Donald Trump’s election is illegitimate, but they’ll do themselves and the nation a favor if they consider their own faults — including the top-to-bottom corruption in their own party and political strategy.

1. The Democrats’ rigged primary: Democrats should begin by accepting the obvious truth of a rigged primary revealed by WikiLeaks. The party’s key leaders — not the party’s voters — picked and promoted Hillary Clinton, meaning she was secretly coronated before the primary ever began. Her rival Bernie Sanders never had a chance. The “nomination” contest was theater designed to make Sanders voters accept Clinton. His voters ought to be furious at Sanders for playing along with this farce, which he most certainly did.

When Party elders shriek about nefarious Russian interference in the election process, they’re trying to distract from what the leaked DNC emails actually said, and the fact that we now know those emails are 100 percent genuine, despite early Democrat statements to the contrary. One of those shrieking claims came from Donna Brazile, who was directly involved in doctoring a primary debate by leaking questions to Clinton, not to Sanders.

2. The Democrat superdelegate system: Then there’s the openly rigged element of the Democratic primary, the superdelegate system. It is a political instrument specifically designed to shut down insurgencies and make the interests of Democrat voters secondary to the judgment of party elites, and the powerful lobbyists who manipulate them. Hillary Clinton was chosen by special-interest donors who had already spent a fortune currying favor with her, as demonstrated by the instantaneous collapse of the Clinton “charities”, the instant the Clintons had no more favors to sell.

PIAPS’s nomination was totally legal. She gamed the system. In hindsight, her nomination was boneheaded and short sighted, but not illegal.

I didn't read all six of these (I don't click on Breitbart due to excessive pop-ups and ads), but I disagree with #2 as evidence of the "illegitimacy" of Clinton's nomination.

There's nothing sacred about the voting process in a primary campaign. Different states use different methods to name their delegates, and there's nothing in our constitution that even mentions political parties, let alone a nomination process for them.

Was Hillary legal?!?! This is the party that installed Barack Hussein Obama, he of no legally provable existence much less eligibility, into the White House. Do you think any of them give a flake about the "legality" of Hillary's nomination?!?!

It was the super delegate thing. She was gathering them a year before we knew who were in the finals. IIRC, she learned this from Obama....as I believe that's what he did...and that's why the party backed him in the end.

But who told him how to play the game??

The final point in the article touches on illegal immigration and the lack of voter scrutiny at the polls. The democrats want to dilute the rights of citizens by allowing anyone to vote. This effort is certainly illegal.

Hillary hacked her own election.

A quibble: The collusion or interference of the “Justice” Department with the FBI, resulting in no indictment against Clinton for her email crimes, was itself a crime. That crime, or crimes, kept her in the “race”.

But no other candidate had a chance of winning the primary, and she only had one real opponent.

This is not crapola.

These are excellent points to make with your Demon friends and co-workers as they continue trying to push the theme that Trump is not a legitimate President.

Hillary and the Demons are mortal enemies of the Constitution and the United States of America.

They must be destroyed as a political force if America is to survive.

The last 10 years should have made that crystal clear to you.

And Trump is not going to be like Bush, having book reading contests with that idiot Karl Rove, while the Demons and the media savage him..

Thank God for that.

When the dems stop forming stupid narratives, maybe we'll stop responding. Letting them know how absurd they are seems to be a pretty important idea. Hillary was far more illegitimate than Trump will ever be, and we shouldn't let them forget that.

Reagan used to do it, it was the Bush GOP that didn't have the stomach to fight these leftist morons.

Who cares?

That's something for the Democrat Party to deal with. There's nothing "illegitimate" about it.

It doesn't matter if they selected their candidate by rigging the primary system, picking a random name out of the phone book, or flipping a coin.

If anything, the rigging of the Democratic primary shows why an open nomination system may not even be a good thing. Bernie Sanders isn't even a registered Democrat ... so why would anyone expect the Democrat Party leadership NOT to do whatever is necessary to keep him from hijacking their nomination process to get on the Democrat Party ballot line in a presidential election?

Suppose, ad argumentum, that you were a Trump Elector - and you learned that Trump had either a Clinton Cash problem or a server gate problem. Would you not have voted for a different Republican?

Hillary had both of those things. On top of Travelgate, Castle Grande, Rose Law Firm billing records, blaming Benghazi on an innocent private citizen . . .

When we see one of our two major parties nominating a Hillary Clinton - and when we see “the mainstream media” (which I prefer to denote as wire service journalism) functioning sub rosa as a part of that same party, and the head of that party publicly exhorting non-citizens to vote - “Houston, we have a problem.”

Wouldn’t it be amazing if President Trump said so in his State of the Union address!

You’re missing the point of the counter-meme. This is taking the Democrats’ meme and throwing it back at them. A fair number, I’d say close to half, were Bernie supporters and therefore very susceptible. If you look at every single thing they’re shrieking about, it seems to have an underlying motivation as a means to cover for their own problems. Russian hacking? Russian stooge? Want to start a war with Russia? Hillary, Hillary and Hillary. Same with illegitimately elected. Hillary. Same with lurid sex allegations. Hillary, well, her husband. On and on.
