I have shirts and sweaters that I bought from them years ago - still have them.

By the way, speaking of boycotts, this spoof video made me laugh out loud:

The other day, MSN had a story saying that for Trump to “endorse any person, product, or organization” would violate long-standing White House ethics norms. I pointed out that Obama has often endorsed Planned Parenthood, specific books, and specific businesses. In this context, “endorse” does not mean signing a formal, paid endorsement contract, but simply praising or recommending something. Once again, the media was making a patently false claim about Obama, saying that he had adhered to this “no endorsement” policy.

Their “Wicked Good Slippers” are some of the best slippers I’ve ever owned. I have several shirts of theirs.

I first bought stuff from them at their flagship store ib Freeport. It was a short sleeve button-down shirt and a set of khaki cargo shorts. The sirt lasted 15 years and the shorts lasted 17. They do make quality stuff.

My only complaint about bean is that my feet get really damp, like trench foot damp, after a day in bean boots. They don’t breathe at all. I always wear woolen socks too.

When I was a kid, we’d get new backpacks every year. My parents would send them back and bean would replace them as guaranteed. I recall reading something about that being common and a point of pride for the company

The lines for Fish Fill A, or whatever it’s called :), is blocks long in Manhattan

That's 'Chick-fil-A'. I just got a job with them at a brand-new store opening up in a month. You ought to try it some time.

We did the same thing. I usually shop LLBean anyway, so I just went in and ordered using the 25% off promo.

They have great clothes. I don’t think we’ve ever had an LLBean product, i.e. shirt, pants, etc, wear out.

Online they have some decent sale items. I might get some early Christmas shopping done.

I bought my daugher a pair of the women's version. She loves them.

We've loved LL Bean for years. Most items I've bought have been great. For the few I've had to return (e.g. a jacket with a zipper that broke 4 months after purchase), they quickly and cheerfully refunded.

Funny, their duck boots just got trendy amongst 20-somethings. (Sounds like Bean boots are this year's Uggs.) Note the "Due to limited supply, Bean boots not included" line in your post. Bean has been getting so many orders, they can't keep them in stock - at least until recently.

Wonder if all the trendoids and snowflakes will throw their Bean boots into bonfires now?

The other day, MSN had a story saying that for Trump to “endorse any person, product, or organization” would violate long-standing White House ethics norms.

I know - I Googled news items about the liberal's attempted boycott of LL Bean and their angry reaction to Trump's endorsement of the company.

One liberal "journalist" leaned a bit too far forward and then had to be reminded that not only is Trump not even President yet (and no such rules would apply), that even when he is President, no such rule applies to him.

So the liberal ranted that "other" Executive branch employees need to be reminded that they cannot endorse specific companies!

Really?

It is bad to support American companies? Since when?

Also, what the hell was this?

There were a lot shoppers there, and the cashier told us they have been "very busy" since the liberals threatened to boycott them.

My take on this...

Liberals are real good at spending other peoples money. A 'Liberal Boycott' is a non-starter because they won't spend their money at the likes of LL Bean, that's where the deplorable people shop. Just like Chick-Fil-A, liberals never eat there. Now if there was a real liberal boycott of Starbucks the company would fold in three days.

They do have some nice men’s shirts that I just ordered.
I usually go to Land’s End but thanks to the boycott story I discovered another place to buy stuff.

Trump is the anti-bully. When the Left wants to boycott businesses that support Conservative causes, or destroy the livelihood of conservatives, what better way to stand up to the bullies? If Trump sends his support to every conservative business that’s bullied by the Left, the boycott strategy that the Left has weaponized will lose its effectiveness.

I have those. I hope L.L. Bean’s sales skyrocket.
He has the right to respond to an unfair boycott.
