President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter again Thursday morning, this time to urge his followers to "Buy L.L.Bean," and support one of his campaign backers.
"Thank you to Linda Bean of L.L.Bean for your great support and courage," he tweeted Thursday. "People will support you even more now. Buy L.L.Bean." The tweet came in response to public attention over Linda Bean's political support for Trump. Bean, a board member and co-owner of the family-owned outdoor retailer and the granddaughter of company founder Leon Leonwood Bean, says she gave money to a PAC supporting Trump. The Associated Press reported that her donations totaled $30,000 exceeding limits on individual contributions in a single year. (The news service says the PAC, Making Maine Great Again, initially reported Bean contributed $60,000 but amended its filings.)
Her political stance drew criticism and spurred calls for a boycott of the company under the hashtag #Grabyourwallet. That prompted the company to respond, noting that Linda Bean's views did not reflect on the company or the views of other Bean family members.
"I think it's a case of bullying," Bean told Fox & Friends on Thursday.

There were a lot shoppers there, and the cashier told us they have been "very busy" since the liberals threatened to boycott them.
My wife commented that just as Chick-Fil-A was threatened, and real Americans responded by supporting their business, we believe it is happening now with LL Bean.
I know some people will complain and nitpick LL Bean for this or that, but I am supporting them for standing up to fascist tyranny.
Thanks for posting this. Looks like I’ll be ordering something from L.L.Bean this weekend!
Must be Karma - I had no idea of the Bean Family’s support for Trump until now.
I was traveling in another city on November 9th. I happened into an LL Bean store and bought 3 pairs of pants - after 20+ years of never having picked up their catalogue or ever considered buying their merchandise.
They make a great product - very good quality.
Just to make sure people know........ it was one of the family members (not all of them) who donated money to a pro-Trump PAC. It was not the company or other board members.
I bought boots and sent link to others who bought!
I bought a camo cap.
Love their products!! The only problem is ... they are so well constructed that they never wear out. :-)
Good for you hoosiermama!!
Celebrate buying at LL Bean with a snack:
Good product. Have been wanting waterproof boots for years.
There is an on line coupon too ! So saved a nice chunk
We buy LL BEAN whenever we go through NH. ALWAYS stop at the store and check for the latest deals.
All the more reason to go with them.
Watch their sales skyrocket now.
I have no problem with their items.
I didn’t look to shop there but I will be buying something now.
THE BEST strategy for a company is to SUPPORT conservative causes.
The lines for Fish Fill A, or whatever it’s called :), is blocks long in Manhattan. Liberals can’t self sacrifice as much as conservatives.
And we support the companies that support our values more.
I have a pair of LL Bean boots, leather uppers, rubber lowers, I bought over 20 years ago. I live in NH and we get some snow now and then, I can’t wear the damned things out, changed the laces this year.
I’ve been buying clothes from LL Bean for several years. Very high quality for the price. They seldom have sales, their reputation is so good.
seems like a good product — the boots
Linda Bean is the granddaughter of company founder L.L. Bean.
She and about fifty other descendants are on the board that owns the company.
Apparently, Linda Bean was on “Fox and Friends” the other day and mentioned that one of the board members donated a large sum of money to Obama in 2012 when he was running for re-election. No outcry from moonbat liberals back then, of course.
My parents bought us items from LL Bean for Christmas. I received a gorgeous throw that is now on sale there for $60. I am thinking of getting another one. It is like a cable knit sweater on one side and super soft on the other. lol So, yeah, I think I may need a couple of them!
I love it up there. I used to live in the Boston area, and NH was the sane place to visit.
I’ve been an LL Bean customer for years...when I was a kid, I wore their sheepskin-lined, waterproof “Bean boots” when mucking out the stables. I haven’t purchased from them in a while, so was thrilled that a new catalog just arrived this week. Time to #MakeBeanGreatAgain; I need some new sweaters.
I already shopped LL Bean. They have the best No-Shrink T-shirts.
