The funny thing is that Trump is willing to spend federal money on infrastructure, but California is not even trying to work with him.
I also suspect that he would like bigger and better versions of what we've got (highways, LAX), rather than a new train system that will be an ongoing drain and may or may not be well-used.

From another item not too many items below, there seems to be a suggestion of what Donald Trump is likely to do.
He’d probably say look into trying to salvage what they can for slow transit, or else junk the boondoggle.
