Medical examiner: Victoria Martens tested positive for STD
A New Mexico girl was strangled to death on her 10th birthday before she was dismembered and her remains set on fire, according to an autopsy released months after police uncovered the sexual abuse they say she suffered at the hands of her mother and others leading up to her killing.
The slaying of Victoria Martens sent shockwaves across the state in August and made national headlines as her mother, Michelle Martens, the mother's boyfriend and his cousin were charged. They have pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges and are in custody pending an October trial.

The autopsy results, made public Monday, included evidence of prior sexual abuse and indicated that Victoria was raped and strangled before her body was dismembered Aug. 23. Her spine was fractured, and she suffered both blunt and sharp injuries. Some of her organs were removed.
The medical examiner's report also showed Victoria tested positive for human papillomavirus, or HPV, which is a sexually transmitted disease.

I live in NM. What happened to Victoria was the worst thing I’ve ever heard. That her mother not only brought those animals around Victoria and her little brother but actually watched is so far beyong the pale there just are no words.
It must have been jealousy. Victoria was beautiful and frankly her mother looks like a man and a homely man at that. Picture shown is most flattering one I’ve seen of Michele Martens.
NM voted to continue allowing late term abortions and you’re right they will not bring back the death penalty - because that would be so mean or something.

Normally I oppose such goings on, but the only chance at punishment may come at the hands of inmates.
Mom’s lawyer said autopsy report would be helpful for defense. Only thing I saw was lack of fracture to hyoid or thyroid cartilage, but one can be strangled without deep trauma and petichae indicate a strangling event.

“...frankly her mother looks like a man and a homely man at that...” You know, I hate it when people say “it’s the drugs” but drugs really ruined this woman’s looks, along with the rest of her. I saw a picture of this woman from some years before when this story first broke and she was a normal looking gal, good looking actually.
I have an issue saying “it’s the drugs” because there are A LOT of drug addicts in the world and pretty much NONE of them do what this woman and her cohorts did.

Can you give more info? I read about this when it first became news and I don’t know what you are talking about. Not trying to be argumentative, just seeking info.
I'm well into my 70's. When I was a boy I never heard of people worshiping satan.
Even now I have a problem with the idea of people actually praying to satan.

There may be confusion with a similar arrest just reported here in PA where the mother and BF raped, killed & dismembered her 15 yr. old adopted daughter. The mother had been employed by child services. I can’t believe my eyes to see the same nightmare twice in a week’s time.
That’s what I was thinking.
Sometimes there would be reports in the news of cattle mutilations. I would overhear the adults make some oblique comment about pagan or satanic rituals, which was then dismissed as Kooky.
I am certain that got reserves a special level of hell for parents that murder their children. If one of my 3 girls died I would be shattered for years.
This witch and whoever else was an accomplice needs to be shot and fed to alligators.

Actually I hope they are sentenced to life in prison. In prison they will endure horrors. In prison they will fear to go to sleep. In prison they will become paranoid insane and afraid of each and every person they meet. Their fear will be well founded. They will be killed in prison.
Good lord, this is horrific. As we’re reminded of the fictional evil with the death of William Peter Blatty, to know that real demons like this live amongst us is...well, words fail...
