Where legal, you can avoid a lot of “mess” by carrying a good sap.
To deny “Williams” bond? No one checks their work, do they?
So, he claims he was drinking and thus, poor judgement. Should charge with a DUI, as well, since he admitted it. He had to be close to her to get stabbed. His story is just BS.
... and Wilson’s Bakery is still going strong.
You wouldn’t believe how much the town has grown. My dad, a USAF colonel, retired here... and I stayed put.
Perp could be Obama’s son. Genetically and/or culturally prone to violence?
After that, he'll be visiting all his sons-of-Obama in jails and prisons/graveyards.
NEVER “brandish” anything.
NEVER let an attacker know what they’re up against.
If they’re coming at you, they’ve already stated by their actions that they do not care.
Make ‘em take it all!
You can never have too many knives. I always carry at least two.
gun, backup gun, knife, backup knife.
Dude! You got your ass kicked by a 53 year old woman!
Gibbs’ rule no. 9 “Never go anywhere without a knife.”
Wilson 1911A1 with a Seecamp .32 backup.....Gerber Sykes-Fairbain Combat Folder (scary sharp) and a Surefire E2DL-Ultra flashlight ..... But I don’t jog or look good in yoga pants so a non issue for me....
That won't buy a rundown 2-bedroom bungalow in Southern CA.
I once had to make an unexpected and unplanned trip into my local court house.
I know the Deputies that man the detectors and they told me to just disarm and they'd hold it for me when I came back through.
Five knives, two guns, 32 bullets, one OC canister and one lead sap later, they almost changed their minds.
I've cut way back on that, lately, as I've aged.
It's only two knives, one gun, 19 bullets and one lead sap now.
Understood. I usually have a Dewalt utility knife, a Chris Reeve Large Sebenza and a Leatherman on me. Only carry one pistol though. Either a SIG 229, a Romanian TTC or a S&W 629 as the mood and circumstances dictate.
Other favorite knives are a large Cliff knife made for me by Mike Mann of Idaho Knife Works and a 40 year old Cold Steel Recon tanto. Got taught how to fight with that one.
LOL, nice.
I prefer a karambit style over tanto for personal defense.
Mainly because of the confidence the handle inspires...although I've never had to resort to a knife for personal defense.
I would suppose over my professional lifetime, I've had thousands of hours of training on the use of a gun (rifle AND handgun) and not much more than maybe 20 or so on a knife defense.
There was once a block of instruction at FLETC on knife ATTACK defense, but knife OFFENSE is not taught.
Or wasn't...may be now.
Anyway, I can't get my mind in the right place for cutting/stabbing...although I'm sure I could if I had to, but my selfish preference is to defend from a distance, ie, choot 'em.
And, by the way...I have a small hunter from Idaho Knife Works...beautiful knife, wicked sharp, balanced, easy to maintain.
Don't know just who made it...is Mr. Mann the principal bladesmith?
I've had it for quite some time, bought it with another knife and really didn't know what I had until later.
Mike Mann is the bladesmith. He and his wife Deb are friends of mine. Last time I was up there, I helped them quarter and hang a big buck that Mike took right at the top of his driveway. Mike has had some7 ups and downs healthwise, but he’s still standing in the forge most every day.

And I do love that Cliff knife. Meant to be a working tool.
Another good knife is the Swiss Army Knife made for the German Army. Green plastic handles with a lock blade you can open with one hand and various tools for other emergencies. You can attach a brass swivel clip and carry it on a belt loop, similar to US Navy sailors in WW2.
Not bad, but you might want to consider upping the bullet count.
Best FReegards.
Saw the pic. Big surprise there!
