How can a "pardon" be granted when as yet no substantive charge of criminality has been lodged against Mrs. Clinton?

It seems to me to be clear that once Obama has been divested of his office as chief magistrate, and the office has been invested in another elected to the office, Obama no longer has even a vestige of authority to pardon or clear any other citizen, though the deeds and investigative burden has been accomplished during his term, and from it charges for those deeds were made later after the new President has been sworn in and has assumed office.

SEE: Pardon of 37th POTUS Richard Nixon

A presidential Pardon of Richard Nixon was issued on September 8, 1974, by President of the United States Gerald Ford, which granted former president Richard Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he might have committed against the United States while president.

Fancy words, but that’s not how it works. Like it or not, Obama is still the President.

The presidential pardon is almost absolute. Like it or not, that is what it is. No charges have to be filed against someone. A president can pardon anyone for crimes they may have committed past or present.

The only limitation on the pardon is that a president cannot pardon for future crimes.

Read the Heritage Foundation discussion of that clause. An indictment is not necessary. Only future crimes cannot be pardoned. Otherwise, it is pretty much unlimited.

They’re probably crafting the text right now to cover “crimes committed and those yet to be committed”.

Perhaps “turnabout is fair play” as the saying goes.

Why could the newly elected Trump charge not only Hitlary but odumbo as well. Both of those two committed huge acts of crime against our nations laws which the common man would be convicted for and never again see the light of day.

Tell me once again about our “just us” system.
