AS Clemson Celebrates, Vegas Favors Bama As Next Year’s Winner

Breitbart Sports

The Clemson Tigers roared back from multiple deficits to roll back the Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 last night. As Clemson celebrates avenging its loss from last year’s title game, Vegas anticipates another victory from Alabama in next year’s national championship. Well, the bookies actually favor the field over the Tide but the odds, in which bettors more than triple their money on an Alabama title, show that they prefer the pride of Tuscaloosa over any other team.

Oddsmakers installed the Crimson Tide as the favorite to win the BCS National Championship next season. The bookies don’t expect big things from Army, Air Force, or Wyoming. Here’s the way Sportsbook.ag sees it:
Alabama 13/4
Florida State 8/1
Ohio State 17/2
Oklahoma 17/2
USC 17/2
LSU 14/1
Louisville 14/1
Michigan 14/1
Clemson 20/1
Texas 28/1
Auburn 35/1
Oklahoma State 35/1
Penn State 35/1

Bama’s Freshman quarterback did not have a great night.

However, he will get better.

University at Washington is at 45/1. They made it to the CFP this year, and should have a significantly better team next year.

I am going to Vegas in a month, and I will be placing at least a $100 bet on Washington (more if I actually manage to win some money gambling) to win it all!

And for the winning QB, his reward for coming out on top may be being sentenced to have to play for the Browns for the next five years.

With Watson gone Clemson will be hard pressed to have a winning season next year. Florida State will run away with the ACC. Swinney was blabbing
today that the ACC is the best conference in the country and no one wants to play an ACC school. He gets pissed off easy because he’s not crazy and he knows damn well the ACC in not a power football conference. The ACC is a basketball conference and always will be. The ACC in football in football is Clemson and Florida State and nobody else.

They won't beat out USC.

Hate to say it... The way the Sooners have played their last five or six games, I don’t have an easy time picturing any of the other bowl teams taking them.

Lotta religious talk by the players and coach after the game. They seemed sincere.

I was encouraged.

They can say what they want. I am in Clemson just sitting on the dock by the lake, watching the tide roll away......

My Bruins 55/1, to funny. With that trash OL and Mora as Coach, 1000/1 is more like it.

Facts are, the SEC is only Bama. If by “football conference” you mean it’s full of semi-literate fans who never darkened the doorway of the schools they do crazy things to root for, that’s true; there are more of those in the SEC. But the ACC had the best bowl record again (by far at 6-2); the only winning record against Power 5 teams out of conference; the Heisman winner from a team other than FSU or CU, etc. It is also the best basketball and baseball league by far and tops in Olympic sports. In that regard, it is not just a top heavy “football league” like the SEC. But it takes a backseat to no one even in football.

This is exactly why the best college quarterbacks don’t do well in the NFL. Give him 2 seasons with a poor offensive line and then see how well he does.

We were joking at work yesterday that Clemson’s QB ‘couldn’t possibly be that good’ and the proof will be that the Cleveland Browns will draft him. It’s where good college QB’s go to die.

"They won't beat out USC. "

Boy O Boy.

That freshman QB, Darnold, for USC could be a Heisman contender, eh?
