Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a Hillary flunky who lost big.
For the 100th time, I never "mocked" a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him "groveling" when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad.
Just more very dishonest media!
Megan McCain criticized Streep openly and is taking flak
We beat up Megan a lot here but she’s gotten better
El Rushbo pulverized Streep in 1990 over her histronics before Congress during the Alar scare.
Wikipedia is my source for how the so-called high & mighty meet their end in ways that are anything but.
“she has the national and international awards to show it”.
Yes she does; FROM PEOPLE WHO WALK LIKE HER, TALK LIKE HER, THINK LIKE HER, and only LIVE IN HER LITTLE WORLD.
“Which explain Clint Eastwood’s four Oscars. Oh, wait...”
Yep, Wait...
Eastwood describes himself as a “libertarian” He has said he doesn’t see himself as a conservative.
One of the reason i think a lot of conservatives like him is 1) he is honest 2) he isn’t a raving liberal.
“Shirley Temple was a great actress at 4 years old.”
There’s a difference between being appealing and being a good actress. I’d rather watch a John Wayne movie than a Meryl Streep movie, but that doesn’t make John Wayne a better actor.
John Wayne was almost always himself. Someone could point to his comedic characters or more nuanced roles in movies such as The Searchers as counter points, but usually John Wayne just seemed like John Wayne.
I can understand how someone might place some importance to the political views of John Wayne. After all, I think I know something about the man’s personal qualities since he plays himself.
I can’t see how someone places much importance in Meryl Streeps views. Seeing her successfully pretend to be another person doesn’t tell me anything about her personal qualities.
There are alot of good actors. They play a role well but are mostly the same character/personality in every role they play.
Whether you are talking about a Tom Hanks or a Bill Murray or Sylvester Stalone or a Clint Eastwood.
I agree with that but Trump's going to be Trump. It has worked for him. I would have just told her and the other GG winners who made commentaries: "No one pays you to think, so just act and keep your uninformed opinions to yourself."
Yep, I’ve finally come to the conclusion that there is a method to Trump’s madness. And while maybe I wouldn’t always want a “Trump” for POTUS, at this particular time, he is precisely what we need.
And Alec Baldwin is good at playing a jerk......because he is a jerk.
For example, he could have defended himself without the personal insult about Streep.
Notice how the criticism and insults only become “immature” when Trump fires back? He knows well enough to never let an adversary control the dialog because they can then frame the issue and hold him against it. He is a wise negotiator.
I look forward to eight years of Trump shutting down the Leftists.
“Outside ‘her’ bubble”...
Yep, just like her role at Congress hearings on ALAR scare - all for the chirren dontcha know?
Another acting example, in my opinion, would be Lawrence Olivier, the labeled "greatest actor of his generation". He could play almost any part, with any accent, and modulate his voice to achieve any effect. But it never seemed like he "became" the role and you'd be watching in conscious awe of his performance, not lulled into believing in the character. But he had to work tirelessly on that effect and even to remember his lines. So in my opinion he was the greatest at the craft of acting but not necessarily in the "art" that to some actors just seems to come so naturally.
With Streep you can also see all the wires and gears moving and you never quite forget that you're seeing a performance. Nothing wrong with it at all, but it's superbly developed craft, not necessarily art. And all that's completely unrelated to the fact that like so many of her colleagues she's an ignorant elitist Leftist b**** who no one in their right mind should take seriously when she spouts politics.
Actress Geraldine Brooks quote:
I have met a lot of dumb actors who were very good. You have to be tuned in emotionally, but you dont need to be intelligent. I dont agree for a minute that you have to be smart to play a dumb blonde.

I never said all actors are cattle; what I said was all actors should be treated like cattle.
