Kaepernick received the Len Eshmont Award last week for beibg the most 'inspirational and courageous' player. The prize is the team's most prestigious honor; its recipient is voted on by players.

I’m glad I shot my TV years back. I still like my baseball and football but this last year I can’t even watch football. I wonder how bad the atmosphere is in the ‘niner locker room.

FReepers coming to DC for the Inauguration might note that Theismann owns (or at least lends his name to) a restaurant in Alexandria, VA that’s directly across the street from the King Street Metro station in Old Town. (20 minutes outside DC, just 2 stops past Reagan Airport). So glad he spoke out.
