A group of more than 1,100 law school professors from across the country is sending a letter to Congress on Tuesday urging the Senate to reject the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) for attorney general.

The letter, signed by professors from 170 law schools in 48 states, is also scheduled to run as a full-page newspaper ad aimed at members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will be holding confirmation hearings for Sessions on Jan. 10-11.

"We are convinced that Jeff Sessions will not fairly enforce our nation's laws and promote justice and equality in the United States," states the letter, signed by prominent legal scholars including Laurence H. Tribe of Harvard Law School, Geoffrey R. Stone of the University of Chicago Law School, Pamela S. Karlan of Stanford Law School and Erwin Chemerinsky of the University of California, Irvine School of Law.

That they oppose him is enough for me to support him.

When Hillary was touting her minority cred during the debate, I thought Trump should have asked, "What do you think Elian Gonzalez thinks about your commitment to children and minorities?"

There are conservative law professors out there but not enough and they are probably afraid to speak up.

Agreed. That being said, I have yet to see a law professor who could actually try a case. And most are terrible appellate advocates too. I guess they know too much.

The most unethical lawyers I ever encountered worked for DOJ. Bar none. And sanctimonious on top of it.

So this story will neatly fit the media's narrative, but it has just about as much credibility as Hollywood's opinion on the subject.

actually, these liberal meatheads are concerned that Jeff Sessions will fairly enforce our nation’s laws ...

Exactly. They don’t think it’s fair for the USA to not treat fraudulently documented foreigners the same as citizens.
That’s what they mean by equality.

IF these are among the “law professors” who had nothing to say about the activities and actions of the PRESENT Attorney General, then we know why the “legal” profession is as it is today.
In fact, their “opinions” verify Trump’s good choice.

Fine. Let DOJ investigate their accreditation process to see if it was valid.

Probably the only thing dumber would be 1,100 fence posts ... but they do provide a useful service.

No, Obozo was never a professor of anything, he was a part -time lecturer and what he lectured on was Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky.
He taught rabble-rousing.

I’d start by prosecuting the nation’s “law professors” fraud in pretending to give the students what they paid for.
