A Christmas statement released Sunday by the Republican National Committee (RNC) drew outrage among opponents on Twitter who objected to talk of a "new King."
ADVERTISEMENT “Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind," RNC chairman Reince Priebus and co-chair Sharon Day said in the statement.
"Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King. We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends."

Obama is their king, that is why they don’t get it.
The comment was sufficiently ambiguous that the left will get a lot of mileage out of it. And, of course, they will ignore all the times in which Obama was unambiguously compared to Jesus, or a prophet, and which they thought was just fine.

Relax. These reporters are likely just rabid atheists who hate all religion. I’m sure they have plenty of Tweets that mock the basic tenets of other religions like Islam. Don’t they? Don’t they?

He wasn’t referring to Trump. He was referring to Jesus.

As in...
Christ the King.
Apparently not.
Words often have more than one definition.
Yeah..but the way he worded it can be interpreted to mean another “king” has come, kicking the hornet’s nest. Just seems unnecessary. Granted, I do enjoy seeing the left acting like emotional basketcases, this statement seems a little thoughtless. Maybe my dislike of Prince Beevus has something to do with it!
