President elect Donald Trump spent his Thanksgiving vacation negotiating jobs for Carrier Corp. He is now spending his Christmas holiday, negotiating the cost of Air Force One and the F-35 program down to more realistic numbers - on behalf of YOU, the taxpayer.

Meanwhile, President Obama, is also working with your hard earned tax dollars.

Enjoying his annual vacation, golfing in Hawaii.

It isn’t just about cost. Both companies are offshoring aircraft production.

Donald Trump met with Jeff Bezos.

Bezos response was to turn the Washington Post bilge output up to 11.

I just don’t think things are going to work out well for Jeff or the Washington Post.

F35 was overbudget before it left the design phase. And Pentagon knew it.

Meeting at Mar-a-Largo or his fabulous Trump Tower gives Trump a certain negotiating advantage. We’ve never had this edge before in government service.

Trump leads our government, but also knows enough about commerce, financial, and running a large organization that business leaders can’t fake it or blow smoke at Trump’s wishes.

Going after waste, fraud and abuse. Love it.

If Trump keeps this up he’s going to be the most significant conservative president in our history. And you know what? That’s his goal, and he has an action plan to achieve just that.

President-elect Donald Trump met on Wednesday with the chief executives of Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp., the nation’s two largest defense contractors, two weeks after he started publicly berating the cost of some of their military projects.

Good for Donald. He’s bringing these guys to the table to cut some deals and cut some costs. That’s what he’s done all his life.

Can you imagine if Hillary had won? She’d be meeting with BLM activists, CAIR representatives, tranny pole smokers and other assorted fruitcakes.

“We’re going to get it done for less than that, and we’re committed to working together to make sure that happens,” Mr. Muilenburg told reporters after the meeting.

Good gracious, how much more of this can we take? :-)

Dennis Muilenburg doesn’t look happy. That’s probably good news for the consumer.

Regarding the cost of a new Air Force 1: One has to purchase two 747 air planes and then all of the additional items for presidential communications, safety, and whatever are added on. The expense is most likely in the communications and safety features. How much will those two categories add to the basic airframe cost?

I remember hearing the comment on a TV documentary about 9-11, that with all of the communications equipment aboard Air Force one in 2001, there was no equipment on board that allowed the President to either talk to some military commands and/or receive information from regular radio and TV broadcasts. And all of the communications has to be encrypted, that is another cost.
