Hmmm. Build part of the the wall that Mexico totally opposes on Mexican territory. How could Mexico possibly refuse such a request? And what could possibly go wrong with such an idea?
If you do that then you put part of your population on the wrong side of the wall. You basically have to buy all the land between the wall and the river since you are denying people living there the use of their land or access to their country.
That is what is going on now you Yankee, #TEXIT.
You and all the other postage stamp third worlders can stick it.
You mention that trump is saying mandatory sentencing in federal prisons.
You should take the time to count the number of jail cells or prisoner beds in all federal prisons, which are essentially full, and figure exactly how many illegals you and trump can hold in these federal prisons.
Then count the number of beds in federal prisons plus state prisons, plus county jails, plus city jails, which are essentially full, and figure exactly how many illegals you and trump can hold in all the jail cells of America.
How many new prisons do you and trump plan on building?
Understood. Like I said, all of this has been discussed in the fence discussion. The fence should have been built decades ago but Kay Bailey royally screwed this up. It is going to be a fight and secession will happen over it more than likely. We in Texas are close to it and the #TEXIT movement is growing.
Over 74% at the RNC convention were ready to right it into the Convention Articles but some shenanigans shot it down.
“Pay up, cheapskate.”
All of us pay for these illegal bums in taxes every day. Get them the hell out of our Country, and build the Wall. Fast.
So you are telling me your home State does not have an "Austin"?
If you say no then my FRiend you are just not being very truthful and as far as this ol Texan is concerned, keep your Yankee arse out of the Lone Star State.
We can manage just fine without your northern aggression arse
Thanks. I lived in Alpine and worked on ranches all over that area going down to the border. Of course that was years ago. I’ve been back to visit a few times, although not recently. The rough terrain and lack of population on both sides of the border make that area one of the least hotspots for illegal crossings. I just think concentration should be on worse areas, of which there are plenty in Texas.
Better than this one... but you get the idea.
Oh, here we have another Texas border expert like Shawn Shammity. The only time he was down there is when he drove by it on the way to have his pockets lined by another dipshiite.
Come on BB, tell us what else you DO NOT know about the Texas border. There are people that live right up to the Rio Grande with houses ON the Rio.
But no, BIGBOB says it ain't so, so no one lives on the vacated border of Texas so,
Take the land, build the wall,
Yeah take the Texas People's land. Yeah I bet if it was your land BigBoob you would not be so inclined to say, "Take my land for the betterment of the rest of the Citizens. Pay me later. Or not"
Morons.....
“Constructive condemnation”? Maybe, not necessarily. Most of our southwestern border is desert.
http://www.history.com/topics/interstate-highway-system
A lot of Americans weren’t happy with Eisenhower’s interstate highways project.
“When the Interstate Highway Act was first passed, most Americans supported it. Soon, however, the unpleasant consequences of all that roadbuilding began to show. Most unpleasant of all was the damage the roads were inflicting on the city neighborhoods in their path. They displaced people from their homes, sliced communities in half and led to abandonment and decay in city after city.”
The justification for the highways was national defense. We’ve got a national security problem now because of Mexico.
A 500 yard `DMZ’? Walls can have gates.
The migrating ocelots? That’s a tough titty said the kitty.
Ike also successfully implemented and concluded `Operation Wetback’ in a matter of months.
Exactly. This was discussed with the fence that it would be built on the dike.
The problem with this is that this would turn this into no mans land and there are people that would live inside this area. These people's homes and homesteads in some cases would have to be condemned.
Like I said, all of this data is already out there from the previous studies of the fence.
There is no reason to spend our money (OUR MONEY, THE TAX PAYERS) doing another study. Shake off the dust of the fence study.
Yeah so I here he likes to use it to build parking lots and casinos out of Old Ladies houses or something to the effect.
President-elect Trump hasn’t called me this week, being busy winning the electoral college and all ...
But in our last (imaginary) conversation I believe he mentioned the words “tent cities” with the costs, again, passed on to their home country.
Unless you are calling him a liar, Ben. If you are just say so.
I’m starting to understand why Cruz and you Texans were so troublesome throughout 2016, complicating the desires of the rest of us to finally win a presidential election.
What do Texans have against the wishes of the rest of us to not have to deal any longer with an ongoing invasion flooding the United States with narcotics and illegal aliens?
If they don’t want it, tell them:
“The wall is going up. Your town can either be on our side of it, or on the Mexican side. You decide.”
Please folks, it’s Army Corps of Engineers, not Army core of engineers.
No more mealy-mouthing and pussyfooting from you American’ts/
So what do you propose? Series. What? Nothing. Nada.

One more time: besides carping, bitching and moaning ......
what do you offer?
Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way, Ben.
Desert or not, it belongs to someone. If not the federal government then a state or local agency, private individual, or Indian reservation. And that which the federal government does not own will have to be bought. If not voluntarily then by condemning and buying the property through an eminent domain proceeding. The court challenges to that could take years and years.
The justification for the highways was national defense. Weve got a national security problem now because of Mexico.
Justifying the wall is not the hard part. Building it is.
A 500 yard `DMZ? Walls can have gates.
That "DMZ" could be miles wide at some points due to geographical or geological reasons. And how many thirty foot high gates will you put in a 30 foot high wall? And will you man then 24x7?
