Hillary Campaign ignored dire warnings from Michigan ground team, decided to day drink instead

The Hillary Clinton campaign repeatedly dismissed the concerns of its own operatives on the ground in Michigan, belittling their work and ignoring warnings that she might lose the state. Photo source: Politico

The staffers based at headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, explicitly ordered operatives in Michigan not to build a voter turnout tracking system, saying they didn’t care about those numbers because their own data showed her winning by 5 points. Perhaps more importantly, they dismissed in-person voter outreach efforts and distributing literature as a waste of time, and discouraged the collection of information from what contact volunteers did make with voters.

“Operatives watched packets of real-time voter information piled up in bins at the coordinated campaign headquarters. The sheets were updated only when they got ripped, or soaked with coffee. Existing packets with notes from the volunteers, including highlighting how much Trump inclination there was among some of the white male union members the Clinton campaign was sure would be with her, were tossed in the garbage,” Politico reports.

Clinton’s arrogant mindset apparently caused the campaign to miss key voter trends, such as the loss of white union members to Donald Trump in states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania. On the morning of Election Day, the campaign was so confident of a Clinton victory, staffers began drinking in the afternoon and making phone calls to potential transition team picks.

Around 1 p.m. on Election Day, an operative on the ground in Michigan called headquarters to warn them the voter turnout numbers they collected (in defiance of the orders to the contrary) were not looking good for Clinton. Turnout in urban precincts were down 25 percent, the operative told headquarters, and the campaign should possibly be worried.

“Nope, they were told,” Politico reports. “She was going to win by 5. All Brooklyn’s data said so.”

Basically she was out classed by Trump.

Her failing health, her honesty and integrity problem, and belligerent staff.

She couldn’t even campaign for herself. That’s how poor her health was.

Smart people, at some point stop attributing their opponents victories and coups to luck and instead study them to discover new secrets. The ones that don’t will lose, lose and lose.

Even prior to the debates everybody on this board knew she was losing the Union vote. Even the media warned her that the rank and file union members were not behind the union leadership.

Envisioning a bunch of besotted Democrat hacks staggering around clueless after finally realizing they’d lost is just hilarious. “Hold muh beer’n watch this” was their election day push, lol.

I like that Trump offered to buy them from her for 5 cents on the dollar.

Wow...another 2000 votes from urban areas in Michigan->12000 votes (due to scannning technique) and she holds Michigan

Prior to the election, I noticed that there were at least two federal raids at union offices in Philadelphia. These offices doubled as democrat campaign offices and were festooned with HRC campaign posters, etc...and it was interesting to watch the clip of detectives wheeling out files, past the HRC signs.

Anyway, I believe that whatever was causing this federal attention in Philadelphia suppressed their ability/will to commit voter fraud there. It may have been what helped push PA over the edge to a red state.

Also some states had new voter ID laws, and some used ‘cross check’ to prevent fraud.

Cumulatively, all of this ate into her voter pool.

What everyone seems to miss in the euphoria of the win was,
why wasn’t Trump 50 points ahead? We have tons of work to do to fix this thing. Look at the left fighting tooth and nail. They will not give an inch and we have to prepare for total warfare. It is going to get and stay ugly.
I hate to say it but we have won nothing yet. We cannot let our guard down for one second. That is what got us in this mess decades ago.

Somehow the Russians influenced 25% of the typical voting electorate to stay at home. Must be using some kind of mind control device. Microwaves? Nutritional imbalances caused by subversive marketing techniques of sugary foods?

Day drinking. There is a concept that I can get into.

I've been 'day drinking' 18 year old Scotch, "at a premium price" and worth every dollar, since the election.

My usual Scotch has been Johnny Walker Black or Dewars, both the 12 year olds, and they are excellent...BUT...in order to splurge and gloat it has been a month of 18 year old Scotch and for the swearing in ceremony it will be a bottle of Remy Martin "Louis XIII" Cognac.

Black Pearl.

Just sitting in a suburb of Pittsburgh, I got a vibe the day before that Trump very well could win. It wasn’t so much hs enormous rally crowds, but Hillary just seemed to be going through the motions. Then, watching how her campaign kept adding new stops in the last week or so implied either panic or some unforeseen problem. I wonder if she were healthy, would she have been satisfied with her lackluster schedule?

So all the faked polls, that oversampled democrats, didn't discourage the Republicans, as was intended. It made the Democrats overconfident.

Way to go, media. Way to go pollsters.

Yep. I think she did as much as she could without literally physically collapsing.

Once you’ve run the ballot papers through the optical voting machines five times then ten times might appear overkill especially if you’re “five points ahead’

Fish rots from the head down. Trump would never allow “day-drinking” with his staff under any circumstances. The Trump campaign worked tirelessly deep into Election Day with Trump himself doing radio interviews across the country getting out the vote.

The Hillary campaign was outworked, outhustled and outclassed in every way and it appears they allowed what might have been an easy victory to slip through their fingers. Our nation is so fortunate.
