As Trump would say, "Sad!"
Let me guess. A long time under Democrat control. Just a hunch.
Something tells me they’ll have the gold medal all to themselves come Monday morning.
Grew up there. Glad I left so long ago.
I live in a Memphis suburb and my home is about a mile from the Memphis city limits. My town has had one murder this year. I believe it was only the 2nd murder of the past ten years. I’m in the actual city of Memphis every day. Many of us live and work here without fear of crime. But those living in the rough black neighborhoods of Memphis are a different story entirely. It’s like another world. I would bet 90% of the murder victims were black.
Heck, that’s an average weekend in Chicago!
I was planning of visiting Graceland next year but never mind.
I live in Southaven and drive to Midtown each day to work. I basically don’t watch the local news because the first ten minutes of each broadcast is who got shot and died. My family only comes up to go to the zoo a few times a year. What else we do in north MS, but crime is coming there too
there are getting to be fewer and fewer places to "go to" anymore....
Another thing I can celebrate bout living in Memphis-NOT!
I live in Olive Branch. I’m in East Memphis every day and I’m often downtown. I would like to move further out eventually, but I have elderly parents in East Memphis near Germantown. What I really would like to do is buy a farm.
The mayor is white, believe it or not. The last black mayor was so despised that many blacks didn’t vote and the white guy one.
It is run by majority of black Democrats in the city council and all the other branches of government though.
I live in a mostly black hood and what you say is true.
Graceland is one of the safer spots s it it a major tourist area. Just don’t stay in a hotel near it.
Nashville is a cesspool. They were caught hiding their bad crime statistics to cover up their rampant crime.
If you live nest to a cesspool, you got to expect some $hit to come your way.
Who was it who said, “Records are made to be broken?”
It would be nice to break the homicide record on the down-side, though!
Mayor of Memphis is a Democrat:

Prior mayors were Democrat going back decades.
so I stay where? Suggestions?
Looks like you’re right... but it only took until Friday afternoon:
