Sen. John McCain

JOHN MCCAIN Senate votes to elevate Cyber Command in military Senate sends annual defense bill to Obama's desk Trump really can't do much to reduce tensions with Putin's Russia MORE (R-Ariz.) is pledging to break his silence on President-elect Donald Trump next year.

"On the first of January, I promise to start answering these stupid, idiotic questions," he told reporters on Tuesday.

McCain has largely refused to talk about Trump for months, despite a constant stream of questions from Capitol Hill reporters. A reporter on Tuesday again began to ask McCain about Trump, but McCain interrupted him, reiterating he wouldn't talk about the incoming presiden

"I'm not talking about Trump. I'm not talking about Trump. I am not taking about Trump," he said. "I don't know how many times i have to tell you."

McCain dropped his support for Trump's presidential campaign after a 2005 tape surfaced of the nominee discussing groping and kissing women without their consent.

Shortly after the tape was published in October, McCain told a Politico reporter to get off the Senate subway train if he intended to ask a question about Trump.

He also told reporters last week that they were wasting their time asking him about Trump.

"McCain is insanely jealous of Trump"

And had he listened or sought council from his VP candidate on Michigan and other issues ( instead of that weasel Steve Schmidt ), we might be in ending the 2nd McCain Term.... It has got to eat at him...

McCain is insanely jealous of Trump. Mccain was a horrible presidential candidate and his campaign failed miserably. He’s very angry that Donald Trump has been spectacularly successful.

Well said. Right on Mark!

Yeah, I know. I just quoted him word-for-word on his defense of what a great guy Obama was in the ‘08 campaign. It was his official surrender as he ran out the clock to November.

I figure if those words were good enough for Obama, they’re good enough for Trump. I guess Sen. ISIS Lover would probably disagree?

Why hasn’t this old fool’s family had him committed to save him and the family further embarrassment?

Did McCain himself ever throw Sarah Palin under the bus or try to blame her for his loss?

I don’t remember that, but I didn’t watch Letterman frequently.

I did like his quirky side.

I agree.

With Bush he had a vendetta because he blamed them for him not getting his chance back then.

I had hoped he wouldn’t have as strong a drive against Trump, but watching Graham’s antics, I think it’s pretty obvious where John will pick up after he decides to enlighten us on him.

I’m so glad McCain and the rest of the Democrats lost to Trump.

Yes, I agree. People just can’t get over their own town guy either.

This is very sad, seeing him back there again.

In 2010 he promised he wouldn’t run again, if Arizonans would just put him back in one more time.

He would have thrown the Christians in the region to the wolves using the footage of one dead Sunni while doing it.

McCain and Graham both feel threatened by Trump’s presidency. If Trump starts draining the swamp, these 2 senators will be seeing a lot of their defense contractor payoffs drying up.
