Glenn Beck looks like the dad in a Disney movie. Hes earnest, geeky, pink, and slightly bulbous. His idea of salty language is bullcrap.
The atmosphere at Becks Mercury Studios, outside Dallas, is similarly soothing, provided you ignore the references to genocide and civilizational collapse. In October, when most commentators considered a Donald Trump presidency a remote possibility, I followed audience members onto the set of The Glenn Beck Program, which airs on Becks website, theblaze.com. On the way, we passed through a life-size replica of the Oval Office as it might look if inhabited by a President Beck, complete with a portrait of Ronald Reagan and a large Norman Rockwell print of a Boy Scout.

Wasn’t that debunked? Thought it was deemed an accident?
It’s truly only when a person becomes genuinely tired of doing works that grace alights on the person.
We don’t like it, sometimes. It slights our pride. It looks like cheating.
Beck is insane but he doesn’t bother me as much as the bitter clingers who listen to him and still consider him relevant. And yes, I believe all that he created will collapse in < 1 year.
LOL!!! I can’t get enough of watching Glenn perform that face roll in the bowl of Cheetos. What was also funny is that some of his staffers were also forced to perform like jerks. At least they had the sense to feel humiliated.
Who was it?
ML/NJ
beck’s largest regret is being an unhinged lunatic.
Glen,who????
Yup.
I am embarrassed when I remember that I once defended him from FReeper criticism?
My wife is ex-mormon. I never was. We both continue to "prep", and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the apocalypse, though we would be in a good spot should the apocalypse happen. Our main focus, especially over the last 8 years, has been making sure that, should either of us become unemployed for an extended period of time, we would have enough basics to get us and our cats through.
I've never heard of anyone whining about wasted food. We certainly haven't had that issue. The program is simple: rotate your stock. As for sharing, we've always put enough away that, if the need arises, we could share (reasonably) with family members/close friends. And for those bands of marauding thugs out for a free meal, well, I got something for them, too.
I realize there is plenty of hatred to go around for mormons. Despite the fact that I've never agreed with them, I think it's sad the amount of actual hatred that exists for mormons. I don't hate them. I feel a little sorry for them, what with falling for a false religion created by a con artist and such.
He’s mentally ill. Pray for him.
Once a drunk, always a drunk. I don’t believe in a sober one. The damage to the brain by alcoholism is irreversible. Same thing happened to GW Bush.

Almost every exmo I know does. Not rotating fast enough, buying too much etc. Money and time and food wasted. And Mormon view is it is for them, not others and certainly not gentiles? I don’t hate Mormons, I spent 20 years owning a transition ministry to help those who leave. Few hate mormons, most pity them and want them out of the cult.
Where is your wife faith wise now? How old was she when she left? Convert or born in? Temple? Yes it does affect the view on things like this and defense of the LDS church.
He started his own movie studio, and then fancied himself a Hollywood mogul, followed by beginning to believe the anti-Trump delusions coming out of Hollywood. And we all know what came next; President Trump.
Glenn better start drinking again, he’s looney tunes when off the wagon! ...
How about swearing Ted Cruz in on a compass? :-)
She was born and raised into it. Followed faithfully through her late teen years. She tells me she started questioning the faith fairly young, when she was about 12, but she hung in because ma & pa were and still are devout.
She was actually baptized into the Baptist church about 2 years ago, aster a # of years exploring the world, and pretty much feels the way I do (I've NEVER had any experience with mormonism) and sees that it was a con job to begin with.
