I hope he is playing rope-a-dope. I am not going to assume it until we see how this pans out. I hope this does not turn out to be a repeat of "read my lips - no new taxes". I hope so too. The DREAM act gives all illegals a foot in the door, so to compromise on this is to compromise on the whole immigration law enforcement issue. If things go as we hope, Trump's approach of starting with deportation of illegals with criminal records is just a way to target the low-hanging, uncontroversial fruit before deporting others.
