Months ago I observed here that Trump's secret electoral strength is that he is not a conservative ideologue, but rather a pragmatist. That means he will do what promises to work. Given the Thatcherian axiom that "the facts of life are conservative," I have confidence that Trump will do just fine.

I will boil it down to an even simpler paradime

Conservative polices are winners. Trump will do everything he can to be a winner. His “brand” is his id and his ego. You don’t bet on his “ideological soundness”; you bet on his ego and need to win. In order to win, he has to “Make American Great Again”. Our vision of politics supports that MAGA value, the Left is diametrically opposed to that value.
