Judaism and Christianity are not the same thing even though they are related

Just saying

Even if we a like to pretend cause we live each other like distant cousins

Ivanka has denied Christ which in my view is a major problem

But admittedly Catholics and Episcopalians are born to it and tossing it may be easier than for someone like me who of my own accord was baptized at 9 and understood the implications

Which is why few serious protestants do this?

Why do Jews often insist on this ?

They love tolerance?

Why didn’t her husband tolerate her faith?

Why didn’t she stand up for it actually is a better question isn’t it?

I would never have forced Jewish women to convert and Miss Goldman wouldn’t have anyhow

I’ve thought of that too, Ivanka denied Christ in order to gain a husband. My guess is she really did not know Christ. Many are just head knowledge but not knowing Him.

It also made me wonder though she is obviously very smart in some matters, she is likely lacking in some, as it seems now with global warming issue.

Maybe God still working on her, through Trump winning and Trump seeming to be embracing God a bit more in his life.

We are all works in progress some moving toward Him and some moving away.

You contend that Ivanka was forced to convert. I disagree with that.

While I’m not privy to their lives (I’ve never met Ivanka or her husband, let alone gotten close enough to either for them to have the confidence to confide a private matter to me), I’m quite sure that Ivanka was not forced to do anything. She was converted according to the tenants of Modern Orthodox Judaism - which specify that any conversion must be voluntary, and also NOT done in contemplation of marriage (because that would mean that the conversion was not sincere, because there was at least one other motivation involved). Also, because of that, Kushner’s kids would not be Jewish if Ivanka’s conversion wasn’t genuine. Note that Kushner’s extended family are extremely Orthodox. Note also that Ivanka has publicly stated that she believes Judaism to be a “beautiful religion.”

I also question whether Ivanka Trump can be forced to do anything, particularly if she believed differently from what was being “forced” upon her. She is an extremely bright young lady, and a very capable and determined one with an extremely wealthy father to back her up if (for some reason) she couldn’t handle herself (and, frankly, I doubt that she needed or wanted her father’s help in this matter). IOW, Kushner didn’t force her to do anything. FYI, she keeps the Sabbath and keeps kosher - all on her own.
