I think that most young women, before they have to deal with the real world (i.e. job, finances, kids, taking care of a home, etc.) are a bunch of libs, subgenus crusader (especially in NYC, which is a giant echo chamber for that). That’s just a fact of life when 2 X Chromosomes are involved. Ivanka, given that she is one of the winners of the lucky sperm lottery, has not truly had to deal with the harsher aspects of life - so she probably hasn’t completely grown up from a political POV. Some of them never grow up, though I think that she will be learning a lot about libs and liberalism/Leftism over the time that her father is in office, and actually running the business, to the point that she’ll pretty much HAVE to mature (again, from a political POV).

Hubby’s family has some, uh, issues. His father went to jail for about 14 months for a variety of charges, and probably deserved more. I don’t think that he gets along too well with his brother-in-law or sister, having set up the former with a prostitute, had it filmed and sent it to his sister - all to stop the BIL from cooperating with the police.

I think that you know this already: there’s no such thing as a perfect person, never was and never will be. Trump and his extended family don’t disprove that notion, any more than your family or mine. That’s all just part of life...and, unlike the libs, I think that you and I (and a large percentage of political conservatives) can look life in the eyes and deal with it, warts and all. That’s what generally separates us from the Left, we don’t extend our infancy and childhood into our 70s or later.

Hmmm. That’s an interesting point. I never considered that it might be an awkward relationship with daughter from marriage #1 and wife #3. (At the beginning, his fixation with Ivanka was a bit on the creepy side.)
