Rep. Keith Ellison would be a controversial choice to lead the Democratic National Committee and there’s no way the Democrats can get around that. He has ties to the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan.
He really wants the job however, so he’s trying to diffuse any questions about his past. Writing on Medium this week, he dismissed any controversy as a “right wing smear campaign.” So typical.

Now that Alan Grayson is back in the private sector, Mr. Ellison has the “most disgusting Democrat” corner all to himself.
Conservatives and anyone not a democrat should just keep their mouths shut. If the DNC wants to hang themselves by electing him, let them.
Ellison is right. It’s a smear. He’s mainstream. I cannot think of a more perfect candidate for the job of DNC chair. Consider me the unofficial chair of the Keith Ellison for DNC Chairman campaign. Yes indeedy, he is the man we need.
Here’s a prediction. One day this person will be running for president of this country. The left is desperate to destroy this country.
They got a crypto-muslim elected in 2008, and he almost destroyed the country. They wanted to destroy it with hillary. They failed.
He may initially be running as vice-president.
