Why did he not instead donate that money to dealing with the culture of drug/alcohol abuse or making better care for the mentally ill more accessible or youth counselling/intervention initiatives that strike at the heart of crime and violence regardless of the weapon used?

That’s a rhetorical question, right?

Good. It’s great when rich liberals blow their money and get nothing.

Millions of dollars are trivial, both compared with his wealth and compared with his goal. If freedom’s enemies can disarm the people, they can buy control over the entire world. Bloomberg has $40B, and any amount he might spend is a small price to pay for a chance at the ultimate prize.

Because the issue is controlling and ultimately enslaving the population...
Leftists kill and they prefer to face unarmed opponents.

Probably is, and also silly on my part as I certainly know what these people really want instead as per another Freeper’s post here.

Bloomberg's expensive unAmerican actions are often defeated in the local arena by groups such as
Arizona Citizens Defense League that barely get by on donations from the people.

I dunno. I think his Nevada win was horrific but effective. What a mess, now, NV must face.

With Trump appointed Justices on the Supreme Court, the Nevada background check law may be ruled unconstitutional.
In the Heller decision, Scalia made it a point to say that the govenment could regulate the *commercial* sales of firearms.
It was implied that the regulation of private sales would be unconstitutional.

Yeah, elections have consequences. Nevada gun owners will get a reality check when they find out what hoops (and money) they will have to jump through when bequeathing grandpa’s or ole dad’s guns to their heirs. It will be a good test case for the rest of the states to observe should they feel inclined to be so stupid.

Agreed with your point. But I like to think also of humanistic ideas that make ones like Bloomberg suck on that front as well.

Good. I love to see a stupid rich liberal waste his money trying to remove an issue that is a God given right.
I hope others of his making join his fight. Sorry SOB
