Levi's: No Firearms in Our Stores. Thanks.

So, while we understand the heartfelt and strongly-held opinions on both sides of the gun debate, it is with the safety and security of our employees and customers in mind that we respectfully ask people not to bring firearms into our stores, offices or facilities, even in states where it’s permitted by law. Of course, authorized members of law enforcement are an exception.

Hmmm. Haven't purchased any levi products in years because of their stance on the 2nd. But at least they are just "asking" customers to not bring firearms in their stores. So in their effort to be perfectly clear, they still leave an opening by not coming out and saying NO FIREARMS ALLOWED IN OUT STORES. Which is it mr. bergh. You asking or telling?

The only people they would need to worry about, won’t pay any attention to them whether they ask or tell.

I generally avoid companies who have this policy, however if I have to go in, I ignore it. I have a right to be armed and all they can do is ask me to leave if they see it.

They should send this memo to ISIS. I’m sure they’ll comply.

Asking. They cannot groom customers of lawfully owned property where public has right of access as invitees. Unless unlawful local or state law prohibits...which will surely die in court challenge. MHO.

Levi's...the jeans whose roots were synonymous with the Old West, where freedom reigned, and occasionally, where firearms kept the peace...now the company takes a proactive stance against firearms on their premises.

Well, I haven't bought Levis in ages, nor have I been in a store. I suppose I can continue to do that, and avoid Levi clothing altogether.

If the firearms are the danger, why would you exempt law enforcement? When all is said and done, a member of law enforcement is far more likely to draw and use a firearm than the average CCW holder.

So, what, you’re saying you’re scared of your customers?

I must have missed that part in business school in discussing how to attract and keep customers.

Let’s be honest with what this really is about - it is about appeasing a group of ‘concerned citizens’ (gun grabbers) in making it more and more difficult or awkward to lawfully carry a concealed weapon. It is making a wide and diverse map of locations where it isn’t ‘welcome.’ Because every CCW holder who carries and prevents crime (or even worse in their book, never touches their firearm at all..) is yet another prime example of their lies.

I carry concealed. If I don’t tell you, you won’t know. Try to stop that which you don’t know.

Sorry Levi’s, but I don’t buy your products anyway. I’m more of a Dickies and Carhartt guy, you know, working man’s clothes. But thanks.

Used to wear Levi Jeans. Haven’t since they defunded BSA for no gays (which the BSA later succumbed on) and supported the million mom march against the 2nd amendment.

Wearing Wranglers since then

“we respectfully ask people not to bring firearms into our stores”

ASK, they know they can’t force their policy on anyone.

So if someone gets hurt or killed, Levi will be liability for not permitting customers from safety. Just like a mall.

Time to pass a law to make "prohibited defense zones" illegal.

Have you checked out Duluth Trading? Their ballroom jeans are about the same price and hubby says they are the best jeans he has ever bought.

A non issue/event with us.

When Levi wrapped its arms around the hostile anti America gays in Gay Frisco decades ago, we stopped buying any Levi product for us or as gifts.
