According to WEAU News 13, 592 veterans who received care at the Tomah VA in Wisconsin may have been infected with several types of disease due to violations of infection control procedures. In other words, they received the horrible level of care we have sadly come to expect from the VA.
During a press conference on Thursday, acting Medical Center Director Victoria Brahm said a dentist at the VA was using his own equipment
which should actually be illegal. But we digress.
I have always wondered about something I saw about 12 years ago. I was visiting someone in a hospital at night and their room looked out towards a nearby VA hospital. The VA hospital was 11 stories tall, but only 3 floors were lighted up. It seems like there could be multiple possible explanations for this, but which is the right one?
THIS is the model liberals want for all American health care.
The people who did this should be charged with attempted murder and murder in cases where vets die from these diseases. Not use the VA as a cash cow for lawyers and the victims families.
So are you suggesting those who were not injured, but served, went through hell, and gave up years of their lives they never get back should be told tough luck, hit the road?
Welfare? I'm curious, what did those on welfare do to earn those benefits?
A similar tie-in is in place between Stanford and VA Palo Alto. The level of patient care here is extremely high. I’m blessed to have Palo Alto as my provider.
The Portland, OR VA hospital is located next to the
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). There is even a pedestrian bridge between the associated hospitals.
My brother went to the emergency room there three months ago with low blood pressure and clogged arteries around his heart. They admitted him on the spot, and reamed out the arteries, after stabilizing him, two days later. Very professional, friendly care.
I’ve never heard of any real problems with VA medicine in Oregon. I think problems with VA are local or regional bad management.
Were they drafted? Or volunteered?
Whenever I went to the one in West Haven CT, it would take me at least 30 minutes to find a parking spot, and my appointment would always be about 30 minutes after I checked in on time.
Were they drafted? Or volunteered?
There is no draft. You don't know this?
So are you suggesting telling those in the military no more benefits unless you're injured in war? Really?
Is this how you'd take care of the veterans?
Btw, you evaded the question to #20. Give it a shot and stop with the BS.
Btw, you evaded the question @ #24.
Do you want to try it again?
You are a real piece of work. You admit you never served and by your posts it is obvious you have zero knowledge about how it all works and why. You are way out of your lane with your comments.v
What comments are out of line?
Yes, of course. My question - are we referring to Vietnam vets, or later?
You keep evading the questions. You don’t respond to questions with questions. Lets try it again;
So are you suggesting telling those in the military who gave up years of their lives to serve, no more benefits unless you’re injured in war?
Is this how you’d take care of the veterans?
You wish to be a ward of the state, even if you were not injured?
The odd thing I see on this thread are the exact same arguments and sentiments for government run, single-payer healthcare, just change the group advocating it.
All I asked was - aren’t there other options?
4 times now you completely evaded the questions.
So veterans who were lucky enough not to be injured in war, but gave up years of their lives to serve in a punishing military environment, should have their meager medical benefits revoked?
??
I have not, and i am not proposing anything - stop asking the same stupid question.
