Former US president Jimmy Carter penned an op-ed in The New York Times Monday imploring President Barack Obama to formally recognize a Palestinian state before Donald Trump takes office in January.
Carter, who helped broker the 1978 Camp David Accords that brought peace between Israel and Egypt, argued the possibility of solidifying a two-state outcome between Israelis and Palestinians was dwindling because of continued settlement activity in the West Bank.
Carters controversial 2006 book Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid designated Israel an apartheid state with two peoples occupying the same land, but completely separated from each other, with Israelis totally dominant and suppressing violence by depriving Palestinians of their basic human rights.
While the 39th president did not reiterate his allegation of Israeli apartheid in his latest commentary on the conflict, he nonetheless cast full blame for its continuation exclusively on Israeli activity.

A medical miracle enhanced with Israeli know-how, to boot.
Carter’s legacy:
“Habitat for Hamas”
Carter was demented long before his brain started trying frantically to shut him up.
Can you please be more specific about the Israeli connection to Carter's cancer treatment?
From what I understand, he underwent a relatively new treatment called "radiosurgery."
Jimmah created radical Iran. He needs to sit down and shut up.
This is going to be a UN resolution, which Trump could not invalidate without leaving the UN, as I’m sure someone downthread will say.
Obama got an A in his course. Guess why.
Hmm. No one did. Well, recall that on October 26 the United States abstained for the first time on the vote to end the embargo on Cuba, and everyone clapped. US delegation dogwhistle to what might will come next.
Is there any website that gives a true, unbiased history on the conflict?
Habitat for Insanity..
Democrat Presidents never do. Activists until the day they die.
By contrast, Republican ex-Presidents always keep a very low profile.
Trump may have a bargaining chip that he is not using. Treat the e-presidents like some men treat their ex-wives. Start by threatening to reduce their SS detail and the other perks.
So many parallels between the two:
- Carter gave us Reagan. Osatan gave us Trump
- Carter worst president to date. Osatan worst president to date.
- Carter and Iran. Osatan and Iran.
- Carter anti Israel. Osatan anti Israel.
