Former US president Jimmy Carter penned an op-ed in The New York Times Monday imploring President Barack Obama to formally recognize a Palestinian state before Donald Trump takes office in January.
Carter, who helped broker the 1978 Camp David Accords that brought peace between Israel and Egypt, argued the possibility of solidifying a two-state outcome between Israelis and Palestinians was dwindling because of continued settlement activity in the West Bank.
Carter’s controversial 2006 book “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid” designated Israel an apartheid state “with two peoples occupying the same land, but completely separated from each other, with Israelis totally dominant and suppressing violence by depriving Palestinians of their basic human rights.”
While the 39th president did not reiterate his allegation of Israeli apartheid in his latest commentary on the conflict, he nonetheless cast full blame for its continuation exclusively on Israeli activity. …

I look at Jimmah Carter as the ‘Bernie” from ‘Weekend At Bernies’ movie. He really is dead-—only he keeps popping up here & there again & again.
I suspect Obama has the same plan for the rest of his life-—keep bad mouthing America.
Is it not so that Terrorist states are not normally recognized.
Now how can even Obama recognize a Pali state when there is no Pali state to be recognized at this point? And not even the Palis have been talking about a state lately, only directing perpetual terror attacks against Israel.
Is Carter demented from his brain cancer, or is this merely a continuation of his previous fondness for the Palestinians and antagonism toward Israel? Probably a combination of both.
