Kind of a reverse Colin Ferguson situation.

What can possibly go wrong?
Let me guess, if/when Dylann is judged quilty, he will appeal saying he did not have proper counsel. Right now, his ego and mental mania have taken over.

Somehow I don’t see this working out well-a lunatic turning court into a circus...

I do not see an Academy Award in his future. His portrayal will lack realism.

Zero chance they will get to convict him and sentence him to death...in my humble opinion, because of this action. Jury will see this a stumbling block and avoid the death sentence. He’ll go for life in prison by taking this....I think.

This will guaranty an appeal for someone who should have been executed.

It may be a method to get the death penalty off the table. He knows he is guilty, the evidence is damning, the likelihood of conviction is high. He may believe that he has a stronger chance of appealing a death sentence if he represents himself at trial.

Why waste a lawyer’s time with this. It’s not going to change anything. To save everyone time, he should plead guilty and be done with it.

So, he gets an appeal, gets a life sentence...how long - in today’s prisons - do you think a white guy, who killed 9, unarmed blacks, in a CHURCH, is going to last in prison?

Only a fool would have themselves as their attorney. So good luck to you.

Good. His best chance to get the maximum penalty allowed by law is to act as his own attorney.

The trial will be very interesting.

If he can act as his own attorney, and as is likely, loses, can he pull his own switch?

The MSM will love the Dylann Roof trial. They'll play it to the hilt. CNN and the New York Times will take a mentally ill monster and attempt to paint every white person in the United States as a co-conspirator.

MSM hatred of this young man will be used to kick every conservatives in the head and groin... Our calls that ‘we're not him’ will be ignored as MSM hatred flows down streets and sewers ... attempting to wash us away.

They would NEVER paint a Muslim with a broad brush... or a 600 member street gang that's killed thousands. But CNN and the New York Times will do it to us..

Guarantees an appeal for incompetent representation.

Why is this dirtbag even alive?
