Trump Will Not Appoint Romney
americanthinker.com ^ | J Marsolo

On November 27, 2016 Kellyanne Conway questioned Romney’s loyalty to Trump, and questioned Romney’s judgment because of his attacks on Trump. She said that Romney lost states in 2012 that Trump won, and questioned what has Romney done since 2012 to warrant an important position such as Secretary of State. Ms. Conway stuck the knife in, twisted it, all with a smile on her face.

*snip*

After Ms. Conway’s takedown of Romney, all deserved, I cannot see Trump appointing Romney as Secretary of State. Romney did not merely criticize Trump’s polices, he viciously attacked Trump personally. There is not much difference in the personal attacks between Romney’s personal attacks and Hillary and Obama’s personal attack against Trump during the campaign.

Conway is a close advisor to Trump. She ran a brilliant campaign, and it seems she was sent out to knock down Romney. I cannot believe she would have said all this without Trump’s approval. This public humiliation of Romney is payback.

“The real question: Why does Romney want to serve in a Trump administration?”

Who says he does?

“2016 ELECTION GAME THEORY”

We've now looked at the (Pew and other) statistical results and pundits explanations of the election,
a yuge Republican win which doubtless few conservatives regret.

With parts of the population believing they are economically, socially (or otherwise) disenfranchised,
it appears statistical supercomputer models informed us that Donald J. Trump would need a marginal bump in votes
to overcome the Democrats and the first female President.

Consequently a planned ‘speaking out’ by ‘leaders’ against Trump and the ‘never-Trumpers’ was rolled out to
alienate only a FEW votes from personality cult followers of certain quantified Republican leaders.

However, this actually garnered MANY more votes FOR the top of the ticket as those
Independents and
Democrats
who would 1st REVEL at the Rights’ disarray;
then realize THEY COULD vote for TRUMP without betraying their disdain of certain Republican conservatives.

The apparent public dissension of the Conservatives was more likely precision Election Game Theory.

The rogue third-party candidate benefited from a seemingly ‘negative sanction’ from various (reviled) leaders for various (reviled) reasons;
resulting in a NET positive vote effect.

Old Bush Guard ‘looking like’ they were against Trump included Pres. G.W. Bush, Pres. H.W. Bush, Gov. Jeb Bush, and even Barbara Bush.

There there were quite a few in Congress, media, and other. (see: Wiki List of Republicans who opposed Donald Trump presidential campaign, 2016 )

It was a WHOLE SWATH of the far Conservative Right seemingly ‘against’ Trump!

Or was it?

Trump may have been intrigued by the Obama/Hillary model. But it at least is sounding like his aides may have saved him.

Thanks for the compliment - 62yo next February!

Can't disagree with your sentiment as regards his politics but he can play-act a certain "type" very well so he keeps getting work. I found the tamed-down version of the actual line funny given the previous snake reference and the big to-do made by the media over Trump's plane. Just seemed apropos...

Trump is just pretendingbto like Romney. It is a show to display he is inclusive and forgiving. It is all fopr show. Trump is a show man. He knows how to workma crowd. Now Romney will believe Trump wanted him but outside forces prevented it. Brilliant strategy by Trump.

Touching all the bases so as not to offend the tender sensibilities of the GOPe? Or artful payback a la Ted Cruz getting invited to address the convention — only to be booed unmercifully? Both?

Romney is The Snake

......yes he is,he’s a conniving, mean, untrustworthy, venomous snake

.....And Kelly Anne Conway, our Lovely Trump Honey Badger, is REALLY good at killing snakes, large cobras in particular. Find “The Nasty Crazy@ss Honeybadger” on Youtube and go to 2:40 minutes in the video. Watch a honey badger take out a king cobra, it’s awesome!!!

Go, Kelly Anne, go—we love you! :0)
