Is This The Democrats' Real Strategy In Launching Recounts?

Over the past couple of days we've written numerous times about Jill Stein's recount efforts in WI, MI and PA (see here, here and here). And while it's clear that Stein intends to move forward with recounts in all three states (she's now up to $6.1mm in donations), what is unclear, and quite perplexing, is exactly why she's pursuing these recounts in the first place. Here are the potential justifications from Stein's perspective, as we see them:

1.Personal self-interest? - Obviously, No. With less than 1% of the vote in WI, MI and PA, Stein obviously has no shot of winning any of the states in question.

2.Hopes of recount tipping states to Hillary? - No. Multiple experts and even Hillary campaign insiders have admitted that overturning election results with a margin of victory of several 1,000 votes is extremely unlikely. To win, Hillary would have to flip WI, MI and PA even though she trails by ~20k, ~12k and ~70k votes in each of those states, respectively...not going to happen.

3.Exposing voting machine hacking? - No. Even the Obama administration has confirmed the the election was "free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective" and that votes "accurately reflect the will of the American people." By failing to present even a shred of evidence of vote tampering in her WI recount petition, instead choosing to focus on wild conspiracy theories, Stein effectively also admits that there was no "hacking" of voting machines.

4.Fundraising scam to get millions in donations from disaffected Hillary voters? - Maybe. As of right now, Stein has raised ~$6mm of the $7mm she says she needs to fund recount efforts.

If I were in one of these three states and had voted...if my state doesn’t send a certification or elector...I’ll be suing the state because in effect, my vote didn’t count. You can expect a class-action lawsuit into the billions occurring against each state’s mechanism.

My belief is that they want to gum-up the Electoral College enough...that everyone will want to get rid of it. That won’t happen.

I will predict that the kind words of Trump over no further investigation over Hillary or her foundation...will end. I also think some commission will be formed to examine dead votes, the illegal votes, and a massive recommendation list will occur by the end of 2017. Whatever the strategy of the Democrats was....may create a deep mess which they will not be able to count on three million votes in 2020 existing.

2) To make the Democratic Party voters feel they are still “correct.”

Exactly. People who hate Trump are people who cannot accept the evil of Clinton, the goodness of the Electoral College and the beauty of living in America. In other words, people who hate Trump and cannot be thankful for him are unreasonable.

“..even if Trump/Pence are chosen, the whole process of being appointed by Congress, combined with a loss of the popular vote, would then cast a dark shadow over their administration...”

That's a crock! More than half of the country is waiting for Trump to assume the Presidency. The shadow being cast is over the broken, disfunctional RAT Party

Quorum is 50%+1. All 3 states have GOP majorities as does the HR. Let the totalitarian thugs walk. It will do them no good.

Apparently, Stein is a bigtime fan of Fidel Castro. One of the other petitioners for the WI recount was a Cuban Cuban, someone named Fuentes I believe.

Reports say Castro was severely distraught when his brother told him Trump had won. Castro wanted Clinton as President.

Maybe Clinton got hold of Soros and asked what the hell happened, and he said let’s find out.

Remember there was a report that the Clinton people were from day one after the election working every moment on what to do and what happened. There were conference calls with lawyers and ***computer scientists***. Perhaps some of those computer scientists were Soros IT people.

The missing link for me is the one between Soros and Castro. People acting on behalf of Castro could have led the Soros group to Stein. If there is a link between Soros and Castro groups, then I would upgrade this speculation from possible to probable.

The rest would take care of itself.

Clinton appears to have stepped in to say she was ‘participating’ in Stein’s recount to give Stein standing to petition, in my view.

If these meetings involved any of what is described above, then Stein did it for money and/or for Castro.

> “... how interesting those are the 3 states that Hillary wants to get her paws on.”

Well a young Brit on YouTube who is street smart, articulate and quick asked a very important question to Stein and the question by itself is an observation that reveals with 100% proof/certainty that Stein is acting as an agent for Clinton.

The evidence is that she chose only 3 states that Clinton lost and none where Clinton won.

In other words, if she was truly an independent agent for election integrity, she would have also chosen states that Trump lost by much smaller margins.

So her biased choices in this matter reveal what’s up. She’s a snake.

As far as attributing the stop of the electronic steal to inside spooks, I’ll run with that because it makes sense with the rest of the theory. Not sure though that a missile threat fits. I think NSA types have control of just about anything transmitting over the internet. I believe they could have the capability to change any information they want in active traffic. It will be interesting to hear Snowden’s take on all this.

Another post suggested the recounts would be delayed past the deadline, thereby nullifying the electoral votes. A response said the legislature would then determine the electors.

The article mentions that theory, but you can read a clear exposition of it here.

The idea is to delay the recounts past the Electoral College deadline, resulting in neither candidate receiving 270 electoral votes. That would throw it to the House, which, voting state by state, would elect Trump.

The benefit to the 'Rats? Trump's election would be seen to be illegitimate, Trump having lost the popular vote and been elected by the House of Representatives.

So far, so good. Trump is President, and the 'Rats are pissed off. What's changed?

But how will the people see it when the recounts fail to change the results in their respective states?

Oh, and BTW, Hillary having signed onto this fraudulent effort, Trump is released from his pledge not to appoint a special inquisitor to look into her case!

With all due respect, the American Thinker article is in error.

If the recount cannot be completed by the date the constitution requires for certification (12/13), the state legislature is empowered to appoint its own slate of electors, instructing them how to vote.

Inasmuch as both houses of the Wisconsin state legislature are controlled by Republicans, those newly appointed electors will be casting their EVs for Trump when the Electoral College meets (12/19).

Both houses of the Michigan and Pennsylvania legislatures are also controlled by Republicans, so recounts in those states are subject to the same action.

No matter what, no states will be deprived of their EVs and Trump will end up with 306 EV.

Recall that the Florida state legislature was preparing to take exactly this course when the SCOTUS decision on Bush v Gore came down.

With the re-count stopped on Dec 9, Florida was able to certify its vote on 12/12 and participate in the Electoral College on 12/18 without the legislature getting involved.

The US House is controlled by Republicans so it doesn’t matter if the Dems walk out.

And we have a winner.

it is no longer about the 2016 election. it is about laying the ground work for the 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024 elections.

If you thought the Democratic matra of 2002-2008, “Bush was selected, no elected.” you haven’t seen anything yet!
