They are waiting until the last minute in each state, WI, PA, MI to file petitions for a recount. WI just had the first deadline.

Their purpose is stretch out the recount as long as possible to try to prevent the Electors from those states from casting ballots on 12/19. They will go to court and try to prevent the Electors from voting until the recount is complete.

>>WI has 10 electoral votes, they can recount there until the world ends and Trump will still be the winner.<<

It is 306 to 232 — they need 74 votes: WI is 10, PA is 20, OH is 18 — total 48. Throw in MI at 16 they are still 10 short.

This recount is just a publicity stunt.

They’re gearing up for PA and MI as well to flip the election.

Soros has funded this, already exposed.

The sky isn’t falling but dismissing this and not taking it seriously is a recipe for disaster.

The appellant has to post bond equal to the estimated cost of the recount before the recount can begin.

It will be MILLIONS of dollars. Stein might be too tempted to just keep it rather than shelling it over for an effort doomed to fail.

Stein’s spokesmouth has already stated that they have no basis for a recount, “no smoking gun”

under WI law, it is my understanding that they have to show a reason for a recount before the state will actually do one. Jill has patently not done this per her campaign’s own statements about this request...... (nor could a recount possibly hope to result in any change in her losing status in WI)

It is therefore my opinion (subject to subsequent developments proving this wrong, of course) that Jill is just using a ‘recount request’ as a smokescreen for raising tons of additional contribution monies, funds...... (which she’s done...allegedly Soros-automated-giving see other posts here on FR)

now she’s well financed to continue her heel-nipping communistic propaganda activities for the next few years, and who knows? she might be a future DNC/Soros candidate for President too??????

Your math is off, they only need to ‘flip’ votes, not make up the spread. 306-268= 38. PA, MI, and WI cover this.

It is ridiculous for a 1% candidate to get a recount. Pure foolishness or a plot to keep a recount going past date of electoral college gathering or a scheme to cheat.

I read somewhere that they did the same thing in Ohio in 2004. That didn’t go anywhere, either.

petition will be considered

So it doesn't necessarily mean that the recount will actually take place. But what about the millions that Soros wired to Jill Stein's fund ? Does she get back most of it if there's no recount ?

Re do your math. 48 votes would do it. the majic number is 270. 232+48=280 306-48=258

Since when are there 574 electoral votes?

You’re the one with bad math.

Why do you think 538.com is named as such?

There should be a national referendum vote on what to do about George Soros.

Soros is a living corpse. I don't think he will find peace until he dies a proper death.

I’m not dismissing it. I just don’t think it is going to go anywhere. Furthermore, MI just certified their vote counts. They will likely reject any recount requests.

What is the reasoning here?
She had what 1% of the vote, we can count, and recount for the next 50 years and she will never win WI, nor ever win the White House.

So what on earth is trying to accomplish, and add that to the fact of her saying she has no proof there was fraud or anything untoward.

Math is overrated. (lol)

Thanks for catching me.

Still an almost impossible hill. Over at CC we are calling it “appeal to the Blue Fairy” (from movie “AI”).

Trump won PA by more than 65,000 votes.

I can't see how that could be "flipped."
