The international space station is habitable. If astronauts can survive in the middle of space, we could build a permanent structure on the moon or Mars (Venus would be a no go) and work from there

Excellent, taxpayer money should not be wasted on the climate hoax.

Any area of exobiology would probably count as heaven in this earth centric context. Obviously God’s own abode of heaven did not flee. It was the thing being fled from.

No, the international space station is not habitable without constant supplies from the only habitable place in the universe.

The heavens are not “God’s abode.”

They are a part of the illusion we know as space-time.

Exploration has always been done, recall Lewis & Clark? It falls squarely under national defense. NASA was only created as a civilian agency to avoid the overt identification of space exploration as having a military purpose during the cold war.

We have maintained the capability of getting to space for nearly sixty years for the same reason we maintain a navy and air force. We keep exploring space so that we are neither unaware of what is out there and so that we don’t lose that capability while another nation develops it.

Constitutionally, the functions of NASA belong in the Defense Department. Pulling it out was just a head fake with regards to the Soviets and it kept the hippies from sabotaging it politically.

Now the inevitable commercialization of space is beginning to happen. As that proceeds, a military presence will be necessary in the same way it is necessary on the high seas to protect shipping. Bringing back moon rocks and leaving footprints are just things that happened as a result of military needs.

We have weather, communication, gps, and remote sensing satellites as well that comprise critical infrastructure that also need to be protected the same as any other infrastructure. Waiting until there is an immediate threat to develop or create the means to defend this infrastructure will be too late.

My father in law started with the phone company in 1966, my mother in law in 1967, my husband’s grandmother in the 50s. My husband followed his dad into telecomm engineering. He comes from a telecom family. No doubt there have been great strides, but when I read your post to him he responded his dad would agree with you. There have been greater technology out of NASA and hubby and his parents have always supported NASA. And they saw more than their share of BS in So Cal Bell, GTE, and then Verizon.

And you are absolutely correct. God gave us the heavens, they are His creation too, aside from technology I love what you said about it showing us the Glory of God. How can that be bad?

Well, we actually happen to agree on the former if we are speaking about outer space, although you present this in a style as if you had found a disagreement.

But the latter would require that Jesus be in an illusion too.

Does this mean that a lot of funds will be released to NASA can go back to exploring the Universe instead of Muslim outreach? Maybe under Trump the USA will develop a manned space program again...YIPPEEEE!!

WOW...just wow. That verse is so out of context to your claim.

In no way does that state the only inhabitable planet is Earth. It is talking about the judgement of the dead who wouldn’t be alive to be on another planet.

It’s Official: NASA’s Physics Defying EM Drive Just Passed Peer Review fossbytes.com ^ | Adarsh Verma

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3496582/posts

M Drive, the microwave radiation thruster capable of propelling a spacecraft without any fuel, has been heating up the debates over the past couple of years. The concept of EM Drive has been facing harsh criticism as it appears to violate the Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

In a recent development, a full and official peer-reviewed paper on EM Drive has been published online. This paper has appeared via the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)’s Journal of Propulsion and Power.

Obama said, “Yes we can!” Trump says, “I already did.”
Donald Trump visited Mars. That’s why there are no signs of life.
As a young man Trump roundhouse kicked a horse that stuck its tongue out at a date, and invented giraffes.
Trump doesn’t sleep. He waits. And he’s fed up with waiting.

Not to mention... that perspectives aren’t illusions. They are perspectives. The entire bible narrative needs understanding of the perspective of various scenes, or else we do get nonsense.

At some point e-s becomes a troll who is not profitable to argue with. Dealing with e-s requires reference to how Proverbs says to deal with fools.

Reread Paul ES - There are 3 heavens - the abode of the birds, the abode of the starts and the abode of God. Ergo - the Heavens are also the abode of God.

ES, do you think the moon landing was an illusion? I ask because I have met people who believe that.
