Staci Lewis, a 36-year-old doctoral student at Stanford, who called off her annual Thanksgiving trip to her parents’ home in coastal Alabama.

That institute of higher learning you attend should teach you that in life there is nothing more valuable than time spent with family. Your parents are not going to be around forever and any holiday missed with them is a deduction from your total quality of life tally.

Knives come out at many Democrat Thanksgiving dinners regardless.

Some of my family work in the County Hospital. I know.

Dennis Prager did a show recently where he had callers tell him about the conflicts in their families after the election. People were being disowned by their children because they voted for Trump.

No problem at our Thanksgiving table. Our entire family will be CELEBRATING!! Of course, people at nearby tables in the restaurant could kill us. ;)

If you have not learned that way before attending “ a higher learning place you never will

This sure is getting old fast!! These guys who actively promote division need to give it a rest. Rather than fomenting strife perhaps the time would be better spent dealing with their bitterness.

We will be celebrating.

The Keynan Usurper’s occupation of the White House will be over - and not soon enough.

A lot of this is concern trolls, too.

Trump is a positive force, Hillary a negative. For the positive people to resist being goaded by the negative ones is an important thing. Showing that just because you cast your lot with Donald doesn’t mean you are an ogre, is important.

Christmas more than Thanksgiving: sending $$ to my sister-in-law so SHE can buy gifts to wrap for nieces. NO WAY am I giving cash as one of them will use it for the Million Woman March on Inauguration Day. We shouldn’t give the kid anything because she voted for Hillary and is rude to her mom because MOM voted for Trump, but my hubby will complain.

Mostly only the liberals would pose an actual risk of physical violence at Thanksgiving.

That's when you tell them "We're very sorry if it has to be that way, but it's your decision I guess. However, if you're no longer our child, there's no reason we'd leave you anything upon our death, so it will all go to your siblings (or if no other siblings -- to some extremely conservative charity we respect, probably the Cato Institute)"
