This sure is getting old fast!! These guys who actively promote division need to give it a rest. Rather than fomenting strife perhaps the time would be better spent dealing with their bitterness.

A lot of this is concern trolls, too.

Trump is a positive force, Hillary a negative. For the positive people to resist being goaded by the negative ones is an important thing. Showing that just because you cast your lot with Donald doesn’t mean you are an ogre, is important.

Saturday evening I went out on a dinner date. We sat at the bar for cocktails as we waited for our table to be readied. My date engaged the bartender in a discussion about Trump, bit as an observer, it was apparent to me that the lady wasn’t a Trump fan. She tried to find a polite way to disengage from the conversation.

S9, I suggested to her thst it was my hope that Mr. Trump could bring us financially back to the early sixties, or even the ‘80’s. I recall those early sixties when one could pay tje mortgage, utilities, new car payment, all insurances, groceries for a large family, clothing for the family, entertainment, and still have a savings account! It was all done on ONE income! Mom was available to us, and she wasn’t as overworked as she would have been had she also had to take an outside job.

I wish you could have seen the facial expressions on that lady’s face as I spoke. I watched the surprise turn to a hungry desire as she mentally compared what her life is now to what life was like for me, growing up.

The tension was diffused, and she had something otjer than the MSM rhetoric to consider.

People need hope. We may never see those post war years again, but the early 80’s were pretty decent compared to the last 25 years.

Perhaps she will have some hope to share with her friends.
