Computer scientists urge Clinton campaign to challenge election results

(CNN)Hillary Clinton's campaign is being urged by a number of top computer scientists to call for a recount of vote totals in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to a source with knowledge of the request.

The computer scientists believe they have found evidence that vote totals in the three states could have been manipulated or hacked and presented their findings to top Clinton aides on a call last Thursday. The scientists, among them J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, told the Clinton campaign they believe there is a questionable trend of Clinton performing worse in counties that relied on electronic voting machines compared to paper ballots and optical scanners, according to the source. The group informed John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, and Marc Elias, the campaign's general counsel, that Clinton received 7% fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic voting machines, which the group said could have been hacked. Their group told Podesta and Elias that while they had not found any evidence of hacking, the pattern needs to be looked at by an independent review.

It's not the nature of the evidence - it's the seriousness of the charge!

This story from CNN is being spread like wildfire by the left on social media. This is irresponsible reporting of an allegation of this magnitude with no supporting evidence to fan the flames of conspiracy among those already struggling to cope with their play-doh and coloring books.

But they did 120% better in districts that depended on the dead. It’s a wash.

Sure, the Dems were not allowed to manipulate the machines, so they couldn’t get her the extra fake votes and now they are upset.

Translation... we may be able to find a way to hack the results even now.

Sniveling s(p)its at CNN had their noses rubbed in their own feces by Mr. Trump, so of course, the bite back is on.

Well you can also argue that the cities have been manipulating paper ballots for years. If they went to electronic ballots maybe the black vote would not be 90% every time. Its much easier to cheat with paper.

Correlation is not causation. They have produced no evidence of tampering.

Yeah...no evidence, but they developed a “model” that’s too ominous to be ignored.

I’m guessing (20 year IT professional in the Washington DC metro area) that the Democrats don’t really want anyone looking that hard at the vote, or it’s technical aspects, because some of them will go to prison.

Nice posturing though, for the empty heads that take anything that the media says at face value.
