WASHINGTON - Tulsi Gabbard is willing to go out on a limb.
The Democratic U.S. congresswoman from Hawaii was one of the first Democrats to support Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and now she is one of the first Democrats to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.
Gabbard met with Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Monday morning, but Trump spokesman Jason Miller said it was premature to discuss Gabbards potential role in the Trump administration.

I have no problem with this meeting. DJT knows how to be a boss.
No TPP, she got that right!
I’m hoping Trump can meet with Bernie himself one day soon. They agree on trade and some other issues and it would be a yuge step toward ending the silliness and bringing the nation more together.
Any theories about which position Donald might have in mind for her?
He found one of the few Dems with a set big enough to take on her own party. Now where can we use her best?
Bernie Super-Delegate that the DNC threatened and blackmailed into supporting Hillary.
Stepped down from DNC Vice-Chair so she could endorse Bernie at the convention. VERY anti-HRC, but eventually had to endorse her.
Interesting choice for a job.
Outreach to Native American population?
Maybe Veterans Affairs?
Unfortunately that is true. We only had one in the state senate and I believe he was defeated.
One of the Veterans’ Affairs posts. There are several.
It’s traditional for a Republican President to have one or two Democrats in the Cabinet (and vice versa). In recent years, this has been achieved often through hold-overs from the departing President’s cabinet, but it isn’t easy to think of a member of Obama’s cabinet who would be willing or acceptable given the scope of regulatory and policy changes Obama has promised.
Gabbard isn’t good but she’s not as bad as most Democrats. Appointing an Asian-American Buddhist woman wins some points too, I guess, although in a game Trump will never win anyway.

“Oh, and Tulsi, bring the real birth certificate to the meeting, will ya?”
“Pro Gun, Veteran, Anti Globalist, Young, Attractive..”
****
if she’s all that, then is she a Bernie supporter? Something’s not right with her aside from well, good looking but you lost me at the rest...
Exactly. If you put her in a position where she agrees with your worldview (Trade) then it’s a genius move by Bannon and Trump.
Remember Bannon said in the recent interview, “Like [Andrew] Jackson’s populism, we’re going to build an entirely new political movement. It’s everything related to jobs. It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement.”
She could be a good evangelist to lead Bernie supporters to Trump.
DoD or State Department
NOT SoS or SecDef good Lord no
But deputy or undersecretary position
Not everybody he meets with is going to end up in his organization. Suspect some of them are just being listened to - even the enemy may have a good idea or two.
I am getting a bit unhinged with all this. I am quite sure we have excellent conservatives who would be serving our government much better than all these liberal losers. Sheesh.
