Trump "Ripped" Into Christie Before Demoting Him By Phone Call (Wont Allow Lobbyist Infestation)
Zero Hedge ^

Posted on 11/20/2016 8:12:25 AM PST by quesney

In the days following the election, Trump expressed deep frustration about how Christie was handling the transition. In particular, he vented about how the governor had loaded up the team with lobbyists, the very class of people Trump had campaigned against, with his calls to “drain the swamp” in Washington. The president-elect also noticed that Christie had stocked his team with old New Jersey friends and allies.

There were other issues. Once the dust settled from their surprise win, the Trump team noticed that Christie had done little to vet potential administration picks or to dig into potential conflicts of interests. With Democrats eager to pounce on any early mistake, it was an oversight they simply couldn’t afford.

Team Trump is on the alert - keen not to repeat the mistakes of past administrations.

They ("Yes, I am a b-tard," Bannon) don't want to be Bush'd (co-opted) like even Reagan was. Fascinating.

It’s just another reason not to cling to Christie or think that this bridge-gate thing was a one-time deal.

“Once the dust settled from their surprise win,”

If you are a fan of the NY Times and Nate Slipper then it was.

This story is based on a Politico report. Politico makes up stuff all day long and gets their stories approved by the DNC, so who knows if any of this is true.

This is a problem with many “career politicians”, they are to tied up to special interests. I’m sure CC was a very good prosecutor, convicted terrorists.

Hopefully, things can be cleaned up, the swamp drained.

When Trump sees potential for good service, he is apt to give that potential a chance. If the person proves incapable of getting with the program, then he has no problem replacing the problem with a part of the solution.

This is not lost on some of his other "controversial" hopefuls.

There is no part of this that surprises me. It has the ring of truth.

This I can tell you:

There is NO WAY that DJT has spent God knows how much of his own money, and the massive disruption to his life, and harm to his business, in order to let Chris Christie do his thing. Trump’s sacrifice to the country will, in years down the road, be compared to G. Washington’s, in terms of a private citizen.

Christie needs Trump more than Trump needs Christie.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that the sole source for these claims is the ultimate enemdia outlet, politico, and the article is based on anonymous sources.

I don’t believe a word that politico writes, especially ones based on anonymous sources.

A lobbyist is just one of the many nasty venomous reptiles infesting the swamp.

I never felt comfortable with Christie after he gave obama that hug before the 2012 election as I felt that helped swing the election towards the Kenyan. On the the other side of the coin, if we actually got Mitt as the prez, then the slow boil would have continued and we never would have gotten Trump. In which case the lobbyist reptiles would have been slithering about the Romney administration, unabated.

Thank goodness Trump is paying close attention, and not waiting to read about it in the news.

I actually liked Christie, until I found all this out. I love Donald J. Trump. He is the real deal.
